Nah, it's the MMO on PC/PS4.

I have pondered getting FFXII for the Switch tho, it's one of my favorite mainline Final Fantasy games.

(Fun bit of trivia, Fran from Final Fantasy XII was one of my first ever cosplays as a kid)

yes, XII was what I was thinking.. right

I suck at parrying too, at least in Dark Souls, maybe a little better in Bloodborne.

In Sekiro, the parry window, called 'deflect', is pretty generous. You can even spam the deflect button with decent results.

I'm only through a few bosses, but I'm really enjoying this game so far. If you like Soulsbourne, you owe it to yourself to try Sekiro. There are enough similarities between franchises that you should feel right at home.

Same here. I never really mastered anything in DS3 (unfortunately no PS4 for me so no BB..maybe I'll get a PS5 when it's backwards compatible) so haven't had too much trouble adjusting to Sekiro.

Halfway in it's a great pleasure to play. I do miss the lore a bit compared to other soulsborne games but can do with the more user-friendly approach..Hope you can enjoy it!

In case you somehow missed it (I got it very early by chance): get the Mikiri-Counter skill for extremely useful/mandatory deflection-action!

Picked it up on Friday/Installing.

Just a few things:

1.) Kind of surprised to see some of the critical reviews that are already released, mainly by the larger journalists, but I usually don’t flock to sites like IGN/GameSpot/Meta, ect, because they tend to over exaggerate and give away too many plot points about the game/storyline.

2.) The more ‘local user’ reviews actually have been very good, the only thing I’ve read so far was that there is some repetitious event/missions in the game, but I think that applies pretty much to any type of sandbox/RPG. Altogether, I will give my impressions later [Without spoilers], but I suspect this will be a fairly reputable game.

The reviews I've been reading have been pretty brutal ranging from "hated it" to "just average". The tech behind the game does look impressive.

I finished Far Cry 4, one of the oldest games in my backlog, and started with Far Cry 5. Burning white flowers to make Faith angry, fun stuff.

If you are referring to critic reviews, some of them of have been harsh, but the *user* reviews have generally been very good for the majority, which leads me to my next point.

The most impressive part, is ‘Bend studios’ already released a patch for the game within 48 hours of its release addressing some of the issues that were complained of (Lag, audio cues, glitches, frame-rate drops), which from current readings, have really improved the game immensely. And that says milestones about a developer that already made patches for reported problems within 48 hours of a release and there dedication to this new game. As an example, when Metro exodus still hasn’t patched audio/graphic problems that’s been a game released for over three months.

Which sounds quite a bit like the reviews for Anthem.

No, Not even close to being relevant in comparison based off your quote. Anthem was a completely broken game from day one with server problems, intrusively long load times, and not to mention it was crashing the PS4, None of which is mutually exclusive to ‘Days Gone.’ Anthem was a catastrophe with those three things alone, even though it has/had potential to be a good game.

And what is your idea? How many hours in the game? Is it getting boring fast like a lot of reviews say? Or is the game keeping you entertained?

I will update you tonight on my impressions of the overall experience later tonight, where I can be a bit more detailed.

Currently on a run with SimCity BuildIt on iOS. My city is up to 585K residents

About to start playing Hitman definitive edition on XB1 after getting it from wallymart for 20 bucks

Seriously considering rebuying the switch now that there’s more “adult” game titles (MK11, Diablo 3, Assassins Creed coming soon)

Still waiting ;-)

I'm finishing Far Cry 5 tonight, about to kick Joseph Seeds ***.

Apologies, I totally forgot to give you my feedback. (Also, loved Far Cry 5.)

My recommendation:

*Buy it.*

Essentially what you’re purchasing with Days gone, is not just a shooter or looter, it’s a deeper storyline (Like the Uncharted Series) with gameplay elements adopted from ‘The last of Us and Mad Max’.

If you like Far Cry 5 as you mentioned, then you will like Days gone, because it does have where you can upgrade your weapons and upgrade the bike that you traverse on. The shooting mechanics are a lot of fun, and actually have been patched with some issues early on that makes it even more seamless.

The dialogue is great, as you would expect from a Sony exclusive, the environments/terrain will change depending where you are on the map.

Days gone isn’t just a ‘zombie-apocalypse shooting-game’, it’s a story driven/mechanic shooting/upgrading world you need to make decisions to find the best possible outcome traversing in this unforgiving-unpredictable world.

Bend studios really put a lot of hard work into this game, and it makes sense why it was delayed at least 2/3 times to bring this kind of quality content that a player should expect in 2019, and it seems a lot of the issues that were mentioned earlier from prior reviews have already been patched, but enjoy it for what it is and let me know what you think.

Started playing the Far Cry 5 DLC's and I must say that the Lost on Mars DLC is really entertaining. Having a laugh with the story and a lot of fun with the anti-gravity belt. Cool stuff.

Yes, I had to get it. From discussion/readings, everyone saying it’s insanely fun to play.

Ended up picking up Kingdom Hearts III for $29.99 as well as Assassin Creed III remastered for $19.99.

Just shows that if you’re able to wait a few weeks/months after launch, games are much, much cheaper.

Games surely don’t hold their asking price long.

Ordia. It’s a simple concept climber but certainly takes more skill as you go along.
It can be fun and frustrating at the same time. Nice colors and sounds. Relaxing.
