Just played through RDR1 "remake" on PS5 and while age shows its still an amazing game and an amazing story. How are the graphics in general?
I have played RDR2 on repeat but never played the first one.
Some of the "remastered" games are decent to play even when they are old, but some games not aged well..
Graphics are great and for some reason Xbox is the only console that runs it at 4k.How are the graphics in general?

Thanks, yeah, its one of those games that I really wanted to be good.
I like a good story and puzzle driven game in a great environment, but this just fell short![]()
I have held off buying the remake. I loved it and own it for PS3. Red Dead 2 is just so much better and part of it is the improved graphics. Not sure why they did not improve the graphics, I think people have found just about everything from RDR1 is in the coding for RDR2. They literally should merge them into one long game.Just played through RDR1 "remake" on PS5 and while age shows its still an amazing game and an amazing story.
Made me wanna go through RDR2 again.
There's a "horror" DLC for RDR1 that i'm considering taking up, apparently its quite good
I agree, its odd that they didn't improve graphics.I have held off buying the remake. I loved it and own it for PS3. Red Dead 2 is just so much better and part of it is the improved graphics. The Nightmare DLC is fantastic and worth every penny. Great side story, fun gameplay with the zombies as well as some cool extras like finding the 4 horses of the apocalypse which each do their own thing when riding them.
I played it a little when I had an Xbox gamepads subscription. It looks great, more a of a slow moving game and did not pull me in. Quality was great though. Not played it but picked up Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in the Sony sale. It only seems to be offered digitally so may as well get it at a cheaper price. I did play it streaming on the cloud on my iPad but I would rather play it natively on my TV.
guessing 4 or 5 years. Games with that level of detail need a lot of time which I am totally ok with. When I go back and play other open world games like Star Wars Outlaws or the Assassins Creed games, they all just feel so empty. I recently tried Star Wars Outlaws again and quickly remembered why I stopped in the first place. Concrete statue NPC's take you right out of it for one, the mix with boring bland story telling and a less than inspired world(s).I agree, its odd that they didn't improve graphics.
But if I speculate a bit on the topic I guess their "remaster" of GTA 3, Vice CIty and Andreas, witch was a disaster, scared them off. Or maybe they are saving it and will do it whenever RDR3 is being released.
Would be awesome if they merged both the games.
Is it any good? I struggle to fork out €70 for a game. Not played it but picked up Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in the Sony sale.
