Finished it: absolutely loved it. Yuffie's targeting is sometimes a bit weird, but for the rest: pure awesomeness. Only have two more optional (hard) bosses left and it's 100% on the DLC. And the long wait for Part 2 can continue...

And 8 more days for the Ghost of Tsushima DLC! Another awesome game.
Good to hear! I absolutely loved the base game, so I might put Judgment aside and run through it, Since i can prob marathon it in a day or so.

For some reason I thought Psychonauts 2 was only going to be on Xbox. I might have to play that next after Iki Island.

Yeah Double Fine probably had existing contracts for releasing the game on all the platforms it is out on (same for Deathloop by Arkane Studios).

also playing Spider Man: Miles Morales PS5

There are tons of unique controls it shows how much gaming has gotten better and better

Im so use of simple Halo and COD controls on Xbox, new to the PS platforms and exclusives

Playing Metroid: Samus Returns on 3DS (aside of Spiderman: Miles Morales)

Gameplays the same as past games but the respawn points are somewhat easier

I remember when Gameboy Advance Metroids would completely put you way back in the game whenever you respawn

Anybody play the 3DS version?

I did, didn't really care for it much. The screen size combined with the art style made it kind of hard to play. The 3DS/ XL I feel aren't suited for those art style of games.

Anyway, does my Golden Axe arcade board count as a console?

That’s insane. I don’t think people understand the level of intricacy that you had to go to to make that fully functional. Your tear down and boot loop setup is crazy. I went as far as sharing your photo with somebody else that tinkers with 3rd Gen consoles, and he was really impressed.

Making a supergun isn't too complex, its sourcing parts and mods for the old hardware that can be problematic.
So this is a standard 80s System 16B motherboard with a new modern multi-board daughterboard on top of it. Those are real eproms with games on them.

From there its an adapter for the System 16B to JAMMA standard supergun adapter. The supergun outputs an RGB signal to my Retrotink that converts it to HDMI without lag.

Its all powered by a standard PC power supply. For fun I use a Genesis/Mega Drive 6-Button controller.

I have finally set up my 55 inch LG C1 for my Series X. These are the games that I tried for the first time.

Doom External: Absolutely stunning looking game both with ray tracing and at 120fps. Unbelievable graphics, fidelity and frame rate for an Xbox.

However I have done first person shooter games to death and got bored after 10min.

Psychonauts 2: I only learned about this game last night at 2100. What an absolutely gorgeous and engaging platformer. 😍😍😍😍

I have been hugely jealous of the new Ratchet and Clank on PS5. Psychonatus is as close as you can get on a Series X. I look forward to playing it later today.

I hope that Xbox will turn it into a franchise with co-op gaming.

I've been really enjoying FF7 remake but this 25 minute long fight to just get to the final boss fight that you have to do all over again if you die has got me close to rage quitting.

I am curious about the FF franchise. Where do I begin as a series X owner. Would I find the games too dated looking?

FF7 and up was released for the XB1 (I assume on the XB Store). It isn't the remake, which may or may not be coming to other systems. It wasn't until FFX that the game characters looked closer to their FMV models.
