I'm a little peeved, but you European types can laugh at this...

I really want Wonderful 101, but it isn't available in the US as part of the promotion...sigh...only New Super Mario, Pikmin, Zelda WW, and Wii Party U...

I don't have Pikmin, so I'll probably get that, and buy Wonderful 101 at some point...
 
Mario Kart 8 is a seriously beautiful game .....

However am I the only one who finds steering a little off, like the game pads thumb sticks aren't quite going fully to the side your trying to steer...

Oh man you're in for a treat. It has the best song in the entire game, possibly entire series. It's just incredible.

Not gonna lie. Shed a small tear when the N64 Rainbow Road and Gusty Galaxy-inspired level songs played!

Interesting, I just came back from bliss, I mean the Wii U version of the N64 Rainbow road (simply brilliant, although I wish it lasted longer, i.e., you did complete laps)...I've noticed that I stay on the course much better (rarely fall off), but darn if I can accurately drive over the coins like I think I should be able to...it may just take some more getting used to.

I went for 101 but had to re-evaluate after it said the game was 17gb! That's more than half my Wii U storage gone. Kinda wish I went with Pikmin instead but I hear great things for 101.

LOL, it is the best song! Every time I drive it, I whistle the tune out loud -- seriously! My wife must think I'm bonkers...the dogs also look at me strangely...but I'm in heaven on Rainbow Road! What a game...

It is amazing to see the graphics on the Wii U the way the original N64 graphics were likely envisioned (and those weren't bad, even by today's standards).

I think out of all the retro tracks this is the one that saw the a bit more artistic license in porting over, it's nothing at all like the original save for the bit dive at the start! And the incredible remix song.

Since Nintendo only release one MK game per gen I would seriously buy DLC for this even if it's just more retro tracks.

I was thinking that if I could ever get my act together, I'd video tape the Wii U and the N64 rainbow roads, and put them together for a side-by-side comparison. The Wii U seemed really faithful to the original, but with some variations. The stationary Chomps, acting like giant beach-balls (instead of moving against the flow of traffic) was the biggest difference in my mind, but memory is a funny thing...

Yes, I would pay for more retro tracks, that is for sure. Then again, I can always fire up my N64!
 
I've halted all other games and am now on Mario Kart 8. Loving it!!!!! .....and so are my kids.

Same here. Maybe have to go Luigi as my main just for the looks of it..sporting mostly ShyGuy atm myself..

Got it yesterday and could play only half an hour or so with my girl, but it was good fun! I'm not totally blown away but that's no bad thing either imo. It should be a fun racer and it perfectly delivers. Added Antares already, maybe we can get a MR-tourney started some day? Have to practice some more offline first before I go online though...MK64 was a while ago...
 
FIFA 14 because of the WC on PS4 and Mario Kart on Wii U. Mario Kart is awesome in a big group. I also got a free copy of Zelda Wind walker for buying it
