is it any good? I'm thinking to get it
The story is good, the game map is fun with being able to explore and the game play is pretty simple. Pretty unique being a cat and doing cat things like knocking over things and scratching stuff.

The game story is somewhat short. Outside the main story there isn’t any real side missions. Few short collectibles here and there while exploring.

My usual weekly dose of Final Fantasy XIV, And i picked up Lumines Remastered for the Switch (I have bought this game entirely too many times). And finally wrapping up Octopath Traveler before I start Triangle Strategy finally.

I'm on travel and playing Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, and Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes

Former is nice in bite-sized chunks, and works nicely in handheld mode. I think Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would too, but I'm already content with doing this.

Also played a bit of the latter. I always enjoyed "physically impossible pinball games", and this one has some RPG elements, progression, and power up system to go with it!

Ghost of Tsushima. Had it since 2021 but now just getting around to it.

This is how i basically play games now. Wait a year till its either cheaper or everything has been explored, and i get useful tips and tricks before going in.

I usually buy the game day one beat it and sell it back on ebay full price thats what I'm going to do with spider man and Call Of duty.

I will either buy immediately if it is something I really want to play (i.e. Baldur's Gate 3) or want to play and has a solid launch discount ... or I wait for a big sale!

I've only bought 2 launch day titles. God of War (2018) and COD4 MW (2007). Everything else i waited. Especially now that games are rarely 'complete' on day 1

As i've gotten older i cant find time play games in their entirety in one day and quickly resell.

So nowadays i just take my time and try to get the best deals in the interim.

How do you manage to get "full price" for a used game, especially if the download codes have been redeemed?
I buy physical disc not digital for me digital is not a smart financial investment once you beat the game the money is gone and the game just sit there. During Ps3 and Ps4 time I would buy games day one beat them and sell them back within a week full price on ebay back when I was 14 years old. I was still a teenager but I was smart. I don't play much anymore since it's not really fun. I really don't see why people buy digital games the money could go to something better then something that will depreciate but thats their money not mines.

I've been really getting into Cult of the Lamb lately. Had to take a break from big AAA games, and I've been picking up smaller games and enjoying them. Going to finally play Hollow Knight after I finish Cult.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant to ask how you manage to get "full price" on the used, unsealed discs you sell on eBay.

Also, many games come with single-use download codes that can be redeemed for bonus content. If you, the seller, used the download code included with a new game, are you still able to get "full price" when you sell the game?

Yes I don’t even use the code so it’s basically brand new just without the seal.

Sorry for posting again but I'm going to have another go at asking my question:

What makes people willing to pay the full retail price for a used game?

(If I were looking to buy a copy of a game and I had a choice between a sealed, unused disc from a retail store or an opened, used disc offered by a person on an auction website for the same price, I would buy from the retailer.)

My assumption is 'availability'. For those of us in the US, we can just go to a local shop or Amazon or whatever and get a copy at nominal retail on day of release.

If you are in a different country there might be delayed releases and what costs $60 USD might be $100AUS and so an opportunist could buy, play, and sell at full retail to someone who is still getting a deal.

Soon to be Baldur's Gate 3
I'm debating this, I can get this for my PC right now, but it might be a better option for my PS5, simply because of my play style. I work 10 hours a day, so when it comes to game playing, I'd rather enjoy that in a recliner

You need to get a Steam Deck then! I'm sitting with mine on my couch now. (Of course that depends on how you feel about smaller screens).

Playing Baldur's Gate 3 now on Steam Deck. It is amazing how much both Larian and Valve have done between Thursday and Saturday to take a game with significant launch issues on the Deck to one that is 'Deck Verified'.

I hear ya, when the steam deck was announced I made it into the 2nd group, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized I'm such a casual gamer that I it would more likely be a waste of money. I'm pretty happy with the PS5 and my game PC. I will say that Valve hit it out of the park with the steam deck, and its not because of any one short coming that it may have, as to my reason not to get it, but rather I don't think I'd use it that much. I'm pretty content with what I have currently.

Maybe the future will change things but at the moment its not on my radar

so basically all of my gaming is either Switch or Steam Deck.
Nice, I still have a need for a computer, and I play some games on my PC - most notably, Fallout 76 and Cities:Skylines. I'll be playing Cities:Skylines 2 and Starfield come this fall. I need to upgrade my GPU, I'm considering the soon to be released RX 7800 XT

Played Hogwarts Legacy for a few hours. I’m not a Harry Potter buff but am enjoy the game. It’s linear-ish but also open world-ish which can be played casually without beiNg overwhelmed with skill trees, grinding, resource gathering and filler content.

Will likely finish it in 2 weeks and then sell it. Not sure what to buy afterwards.
