Pick the genre you feel like playing most and roll with it!

This is great info and appreciate the reply.

I am leaning towards Dragon Age but I have never played one of these games, dont even know the premise, and concerned I will have no clue what is going on.

I am not a big FPS fan so Halo wasnt on the list but will play it eventually.

Sounds like we need to have a coop Bloodbourne beast hunt sidhartha and mandoman. Tackle some of those boss and the chalice..from the looks of it I'm going to need all the help that I can get plus I read somewhere you can be invaded by two phantoms now...yikes.

I havent finish DS2 yet, my PS3 died but I'm planning on purchasing another soon so I think I'll skip the PS4 edition.

I'd be down with some coop Bloodborne!

Dark Souls I played offline mode. Yes, I beat O&S all by my lonesome :) If I had more time to do another run through I'd probably skip NG+ and re-spec something and play online mode with an eye towards creating a PVP build, but think I will save that sort of on-line experience for DS II.

I wouldn't worry about being lost not playing previous DA games what so ever. If it's the gameplay mechanics you are worried about, maybe watch some Twitch streams to get an idea what to expect?

if you had to choose one XB1 game to play and only one for let's say the next 2-3 months, what would it be?

Sunset Overdrive
Dragons Age
Shadow of Mordor
Something else?
Any of those ;)

I've played dragon age more or for longer, but all three of those titles are great.

I'm in- my PSN ID is "dirtchute"

Finished The Last of Us Remastered yesterday planing to continue with the Left Behind DLC soon.

Rayman Legends on XB1. This game is so beautiful and so fun I wonder why it didn't get more attention or accolades?

I played Helldivers at a friends place last week, such a blast. Cheesy story, but the game play is solid and even better with a group of friends in the same room. Great leveling system, and the friendly fire really forces everyone to communicate well.

Highly recommend if you can get a group of people to play in the same room or online.

Finally got my copy of Final Fantasy Type-0; downloading the Final Fantasy XV demo now (woot!) and thinking about starting Type-0 soon.

Sunset Overdrive just arrived via gamefly. I hope it lives up the hype as I'm pretty excited to start this one.

Pre-ordered Mario Party 10 Wii-U (our little girl's B-day), got it Friday (the actual release day, pretty cool how Amazon "pre-ships"). We got the boxed edition that came with a Mario Amiibo :)

No surprise, it's _super_ fun and looks to have terrific replay value like other MP games.

There's a few different play modes: Amiibo mode where you can collect tokens into your Amiibo, the regular mode though the one we played had a really neat change up in the play mechanic from the previous version and really creative use of the gamepad. The other major mode - we haven't played yet, will today I suspect - is Bowser mode, where one player uses the gamepad to play against all the other players (looks like some cool POV using the display).

Pre-ordered Mario Party 10 Wii-U

That's on my radar, it's a series I like to pick up once per generation because they are pretty fun. But for now I'm still going on Mario Kart and Smash Bros!

Yeah, we got MK8 with the Wii-U in a bundle, it's outstanding. We picked up the couple of additional circuits a month or so ago, waiting on the other two to be released (May I think?). It's in pretty constant rotation for family game night :)

Don't tell her, since it's additional birthday** surprises :D, but we got her Smash Bros and Kirby (and a pack of colored stylus since the OEM one didn't even make it back to house from the Christmas trip). Also an extra Amiibo (Princess Peach ... you know, because she's a princess).

Mario Party is a blast - there's some skill, some luck, the new graphics are superb, the animations are terrific, it's got great design, a fun sense of humor, I'd say unless you're just a shoot-em-up type gamer, it's a must buy, especially to play with family, friends, etc.

** Also some books. Not e-books, no batteries, like actual paper, printed books to read.

Busted out my old Pokemon Emerald. Still my favorite game of that time.

Makes me want to try the Rusty Ruby or Sassy Sapphire, whatever they're on now.

Playing a lot less lately but if I do

mostly Resident Evil Revalations 2 and Cod:AW multiplayer.

A huge backlog with half finished games I truly loved though: Captain Toad, Resident Evil REmaster, Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze and Alien Isolation.

^It really is, I was worried about not having a shield but the dash and response is so fast that I don't miss being defensive at all. I'm really enjoying this game and the setting.

Looks like the gaming community feels the same way.

Note: I'll add you tonight siddartha

Cool-see you online!

I felt the same about the shields, but the last DS character I made I tried to maximize my dodge/roll, and actually prefer it. I've had about 20 mins of playtime so far in Bloodborne (busy hospital days) but it gave me that DS/2 feeling, so I am happy.

Reviews I've seen so far are positive, and I am sure I'll be playing this for the next year at least!

I have 50 games in my Gamefly queue.
My backlog is getting overwhelming and I need like 6 months off work, wife, and kids to catch up. :)

BTW, Sunset OD is sooooooooo good. Love when games take a risk and change up things from the norm and this game has it all. Very awesome

Bloodborne is out....
and it's awesome

Shoot, my copy won't be delivered until Saturday. Ugh!

Watched some Twitch Bloodborne streams last night and it looks great. Reviews are coming in and averaging over 9 out of 10. I'm wondering too about lack of shield, but think I can hang. The faster paced combat should make up for it. What makes me nervous more than anything is this is the most darkest, scariest, and creepy Souls environment yet. It's like taking blightown, new londo ruins, and painted world and turning up the creep factor 100x. I'm afraid this game will give me a heart attack! Still looking forward to it!

All this talk about Bloodborne got me intrigued.

...so I bought Demon's Souls for 5€ on PSN last night! :D

I've always been curious but scared to try the Souls games.

I just got the first boss down (on the first attempt, no less!). So happy right now :D

...and I've had like an hour on the game tops so far (2 kids under 4yo) so haven't even gotten to the first boss yet!

...and I'm still getting my ass handed to me despite finishing DS/II multiple times
