Graphics and sound are stunning! This really feels like Star Wars. I thought the single player survival mode was a little boring, but multiplier was pretty fun. All I know is, I really suck at multiplier FPS games. I'm at the far bottom of rankings after each battle every time. Biggest problem is I don't know if I'm reading HUD correctly, since enemies pop up out of nowhere and kill me. I'll try and get better. I hope the matchmaking is improved though.

Is this game a buy? Perhaps too early to say. It would be if it had single-player campaign OR I somehow get better at multiplayer. As it stands, I'm not sure, certainly not a day one buy for me. I'll be playing a bunch over the weekend though to see if I can get better. It is still pretty darn fun even if you suck.

Agreed on single player horde mode being boring. But I have that with every horde mode I ever played. Guess it gets a bit better doing co-op. You know what would be an amazing feat though? Having a 4-20 player co-op horde mode! Wonder why nobody ever thought about that...it's made for a game based on a canon franchise with so many famous and beloved set-pieces / scenes imo.

Maybe I was just lucky but I did quite ok. You have to remember that k/d isn't the important thing in these modes (at least in Walker Assault, cap the pod is different of course). I went 1/3 or so multiple times when playing as a rebel with oppontents racking up 44-5 kills or so (thx to AT-ATs) but still won against them because of playing the objectives and tried playing tactical.
I'm hardly looking at the HUD though, once you know the map you can guess pretty good where the oppponts come from. I read that one shouldn't ADS too much too, but I do it most of the time tbh, except up close. Maybe it was just laggy on your part / bad connection? Having a partner that doesn't suck too much helps a lot for pushing the lines together though!

Some random thoughts:

- I really wonder if there will be different maps to Walker Assault (Endor?) and Cap the Pod though?! Would become rather stale quite soon otherwise.

-no douchebaggery in the chat! God, how I hate that in COD et al.

- taking out Darth Vader is awesome!

Playing Destiny and having a really good time playing with a squad. We finally reached the last boss on the King's Fall Raid but it was late and I couldn't finish it...They reset the checkpoints on Tuesdays so back to the beginning of that raid :-(

Next month is going to be a killer with Fallout 4 added to the mix.

Bless

I wonder the same thing about added modes to final game. I felt horde, drop zone and walker assulat got boring pretty quickly, and that's about 1/3 of total content coming in base game. I'm not happy about $50 for DLC, or $120 for all content. It feels like EA is holding back content for a cash grab.

Overall I had pretty fun with Beta. My K/D ration never really got above 1:2, but I did well meeting objectives. I agree winning as Rebels on Walker assault felt very satisfying. I managed that twice out of maybe six attempts. Lost as empire once too, which really sucks.

I helped kill Vader a couple of times too. We had 4-5 people gank up on him. Satisfying after being killed by hero's many times.

Got to play most vehicles. Flying is HARD. Never got to play as a hero though.

Ultimately, on the fence about pre-ordering this one. It's fun enough, but will it be long lasting enough? Will the DLC be worth it? I don't know...

Has anyone picked up the new Tony Hawk game?

It got a lot of bad press, but I think I would likely have some nostalgic fun with it. I won't buy it at full price, but maybe a few months down the line...

Apparently it's so broken you wouldn't even get nostalgia fun. You could download the remaster game previous on psn for that.

Same here. Miss it already! :D Played once as Luke! Was plowing through Stormtoopers to clean one of those satellite stations just to notice that not one single rebel followed me :D - unfortunately you can't acivate those things as a hero too (or it was a bug)! lol
And that moment when you're defending the hangar with a bunch of rebels and Vader appears in that narrow corridor!! Priceless...

Longevity is a question, it is somewhat casual, meaning the learning curve being not too high, so will firstly please a lot of folks - can it keep them? But it is Star Wars after all, looks and sounds absolutely immersive so I don't worry too much about it. I like that one doesn't need a week or so to get used to it to do remotely ok (like in Battlefield).

I'll get the base game day one for sure. I believe I read something about three Walker Assault maps and three Drop Pods, but there are like nine or so multplayer modes and they all sounded like great fun to me! Heroes vs Villains? C'mon, how awesome is that!!

I can understand that people dislike shelling out 110$, for me this will be worth it (although one can get keys for PC fairly cheaper). This is Alien Isolation all over again, totally immersive imo. DICE has a good track record come DLC for BF3 and BF4 so that is that. It helps that the Beta worked beautifully with that many people, since BF3-4 had bugs gallore at the start for a long time, so I was really wary (still am to some degree) about this one.

Heck, I'm hyped. :D

I'm about 60 hours into The Phantom Pain, and considering starting over.

There's one particular mission I've triggered which affects the rest of the game, unfortunately on PS4 with one save file there is no way to undo it which sucks. Insane thing is that I'd happily restart it, the game has been that good. But I'm not sure it's sensible to sink another 60+ hours into this...

It's on my Lookout list to pick it up when it drops to half price so keeping an eye on Amazon for Black Friday

Totally worth a play. Ultimately made a backup of my save then started over. It still feels amazing the second time through. I went back through Ground Zeroes as well and unlocked a bunch of stuff to transfer over, that also is a heck of a lot of fun for a 'demo'.

Well it was on sale at Amazon for £30 including shipping (€42) which is nearly €30 than it is in Gamestop here so I ordered a copy :)

Enjoy...i've got a few days holiday this week, going to put in a few hours with mgv...might even have a wee shot online again.
Yeah not sure when I'll get to play it tbh. There's a high chance it ends up on the backlog that's been growing all year. Still have soooo many games I've bought this year to play ....

Started Uncharted 1 Remastered last night. Looks gorgeous, they did a great job! Been many years since I last played the first one, so this will be great.

Will dive back into Bloodborne soon as well, but Nathan Drake is a nice change of pace, and my wife loves looking for treasures with me. :)

Still slowly making my way through MGSV. I just like firing it up and making my way through the side missions and wandering around the map clearing outposts in different ways.

Also discovered Retroarch a few days ago, in the process of setting it all up perfectly with my MBP hooked up to the living room TV.

Halo 5 Guardians installing as we speak. Deleted MCC to make space for it :p
Mine arrives tomorrow - got my download code for pre-order bonus content. Tbh wasn't going to get it but thought my Xbox One had not had much love lately so needed some games specifically for it :)

Had a shot of latest uncharted demo, probably best next gen graphics..might pick up Uncharted 1 pre owned or eBay in a few weeks.

Still not much time for games, so play mostly a couple of levels of Mario Maker here and there. I want to get back to some Splatoon and Rocket League too until I have more time to pick up more time consuming games.

Holidays coming up though, so expect to be playing a ton then. Plan to play Gears of War Remaster and/or Halo 5 over Thanksgiving break, and Witcher 3 over Christmas break.

SO MANY new and upcoming releases I want to play though... Bloodborne DLC, Uncharted Collection, New Tomb Raider, Star Wars Battlefront, Mario Tennis, Fallout 4... Impossible to keep up on them all!

NBA 2K16 and Forza Horizon 2 for me :)

I really wanted to like the new Star Wars Battlefront, but the beta didn't convince me. Also, the fact that my favorite mode, Instant Action, isn't in Star Wars Battlefront, I'll be sticking with good old Star Wars Battlefront 2 running on my Mac via Bootcamp. :)
