Lost Levels were fantastic! A friend and I fought our way through this beast and eventually beat it. We played through one of the Mega Mans, too. I think it was Mega Man 2. Tough!!

Apparently I'm a sucker for games with a punishing difficulty! :D

Tried (Super) Ghosts n Ghouls? Can't finish the first levels of this ***** :D Although I have to admit that I'm not a sucker for punishment and get impatient if it's too damn challenging - and I'm not that bad at this stuff. Same goes for a lot of those 'expert 'Mario Maker levels that include every imaginable instant death trap. Wasn't too keen on those Sierra Adventures where you died a (whole) lot too - King's Quest VI comes to mind.

wow, checking those King's Quest (VII especially) games out makes my point n click fingers itchy. Never played the last Lucas Arts games too (The Dig for example). Should try to get those I fancy..

More Bloodborne stuff:

In the forbidden forest, if you keep left after the dog kennels, there is a path that leads to a big cave full of toxic water with some giants roaming around and tentacle monsters lurking in the water. Is that area worth the effort? Anything exciting I would miss if I skip it?

This way is important for some very good items, including one which opens optional zone. If you go this way now, do not approach or kill Iosefka as she has important item. Wait to meet her after beating Rom the Spider.
I can provide more detailed spoilers if you request.

Thank you - that was just the right amount of spoilage! :)

Anyone dry-cleaning Chewies hair in the SW Beta already? Is it fun? I'm looking forwards to this game!

Hilarious Gif!

I played a little last night on PS4. There are 3 modes available in the Beta:

1) Single/Double Player Survival mode wave assault. Survive as long as you can against waves of enemies.
2) Multiplier Capture the flag and defend mode. Pods land in random locations, your team needs to capture than defend. Team with most pods captured at end of time period or first to reach 5 captures win.
3) Multiplier Walker Assault. Hoth AT-AT walker assault. Rebels need to work together for various objectives to take out the AT-ATs.

I didn't play too much with the different weapons and upgrades. You need to get to like level 5 and earn enough credits to unlock everything. That takes several hours unless you are really good. I didn't play long enough to get everything.
Walker mode is the only available mode that has access to vehicles and the 'heroes' Luke/Vader.
You unlock these by finding power-ups on the map. You have both first and third person views available.

Graphics and sound are stunning! This really feels like Star Wars. I thought the single player survival mode was a little boring, but multiplier was pretty fun. All I know is, I really suck at multiplier FPS games. I'm at the far bottom of rankings after each battle every time. Biggest problem is I don't know if I'm reading HUD correctly, since enemies pop up out of nowhere and kill me. I'll try and get better. I hope the matchmaking is improved though.

Is this game a buy? Perhaps too early to say. It would be if it had single-player campaign OR I somehow get better at multiplayer. As it stands, I'm not sure, certainly not a day one buy for me. I'll be playing a bunch over the weekend though to see if I can get better. It is still pretty darn fun even if you suck.

Prey slaughtered.

Killed the three stooges. Man, that was tough!

On to Byrgenwerth. Made it inside the building, got destroyed by the hunter. Done for the night! :)

Uncharted (1) now complete. Was fun!

I think next on the agenda is Mass Effect 3; I finally got around to finishing ME2 a couple of months ago so it'll be good to finish it all off.

ME2 was the best, but ME3 is really good, too! Many people complained about the ending, i.e. the last 20 minutes of the game. To me, the entire game is the ending to the series, and it does a great job wrapping everything up. Last 20 minutes made me cry. ;)

Be sure to get the Leviathan and Citadel DLC's. They are both fantastic. Especially Citadel! But don't go to Anderson's party pad too soon though, wait till most characters are back. ;)

Just installed a 2tb drive on my PS4 so looking to get back to the earlier titles I got far into but never finished. So that's a bit of Infamous, Killzone and Tomb Raider from here on!

I updated mine to the 2tb hdd last year and I'm amazed how quickly I'm still filling it up. Games are soooooo big these days.

I put a 2 TB drive in mine a couple of months ago and have already managed to fill it halfway. Someone needs to hurry up and invent infinite storage :p

Bloodborne Progress Blog:

I slayed Tom, the Hilarious Spider (or something...). Took me a good 8 or 9 times, but in the end, this one wasn't too bad. At least this one didn't make me travel halfway around world to try again after dying. That drove me nuts in the forest... (Yes, both short cuts were open, but still!)

Lit the lamp in the next area ("Yaha Guru" or something?), but haven't ventured further.

Went through the poison lake to the rooftops and top floor of the clinic. Think I got the two important items I was supposed to get.

Chirpy hard drive? That doesn't sound good!
It was an issue with 2tb hard drive upgrade. The chirp is the powersaving feature of the hard drive being falsely triggered. Essentially the PS firmware iterations have fixed it over time but it still occasionally chirps. There is no data loss or damage its just an annoying bug affecting PS4's upgraded to the Samsung 2tb HDD found in the external Seagate case that many have used to upgrade their ps4 storage cheaply.

That's the one I've used! Haven't noticed any chirping though, but then again I did only install it recently.
With latest firmware chances are you won't :) like I say its once every couple of weeks and barely worth noting. But originally it was at least twice an hour when being used. So really was annoying :)

SW beta as well (more like a demo I guess). Really loving it. It's more on the casual side in general - but that's not a bad thing imo. On the other hand: winning the Hoth battle as a rebel is quite a task but feels extremely satisfying.

Graphics and sounds are amazing, feels like 100% SW! Day one buy without a question.

Bit worried about cheaters though, saw bans every other match already (at least there were bans - opposed th COD AW which is a hack 'n slay on PC with worthless report function).
