Caved in and bought BF1 - so far it's awesome. Played a bit the campaign and was pleasantly surprised.
Finally having a good and popular multiplayer FPS will help too. Love the setting and atmosphere, but this will likely be my last purchase for some time now.. :D

I played about 5 hours of BF1 multiplayer via XB1 EA Access 10-hr trial. Even though I suck at it, it's pretty darn fun. While somewhat similar to SW:Battlefront (both being Dice FPS), the setting, varied and huge 64-player maps, single player campaign, and class based system really sets it apart. I would buy it, but just got SW:Battlefront and DS3 Season Passes, so I will wait until I've cleared my backlog and for a price drop to pick up.

While I'm not big on FPS, it's a good time be a fan with many highly rated recent releases: Overwatch, Battlefield 1, Doom, Shadow Warrior 2, Titanfall 2...

I had to take a break. Between my feeling of actually losing skill in it, and Blizzard's need to nerf my main (Pharah), I just wasn't having fun. So now I just watch my roommate and GF play.

I hate Pharah :p No, like really hate her. For some reason I just cannot play her well, and anyone who plays her against me has a hayday.

Only character I hate more is Hanzo. Just way too much damage for such a big hit target. According to the game a foot off my shoulder is my head.

My main is Zenyatta. I like being able to heal and damage. Makes me feel more useful.

Stopped playing after the Lucio has been nerfed again. Blizzard and their constant tweaking makes me sick of every Blizzard game. I love playing as Mercy but she is very situational

Anyhow got a solid 40 hours out of the game so I won't complain, back to TF 2 :)

Yeah, I hear you on that backlog...

I actually fell in love with BF1. The fun thing is I initially didn't want to get it because I was utterly disappointed with BF4 and while I enjoyed Battlefront for SW and the sheer beauty of it (Endor <3) I couldn't really get into the MP that well - weapons were off or netcode sucked - or both :D Oh, and cheaters. Cheaters everywhere.

BF1 on the other hand is a blessing so far. Hits register, weapons are fun to use, nicely balanced classes, setting is great, and the visuals are quite stunning. I play operations and TDM almost exclusively and both are pretty darn good. Good teamwork so far too. I like that the maps also feature dynamic weather - good feature and well done too. If it stays that way I'm most certainly get the DLC if they hit the shop. :D

Campaign is great too. I played the tank one (mud n' blood or so) and the Lawrence of Arabia - good fun! Although the mp is where it's at - and greatly so.

Girlfriend and I started playing the DLC for Dark Souls 3 last night on Xbox One. Stupid wolves!!!

BLOODBORNE:

I'll try again, but I'm not sure how much more.

I kind of regret buying digitally now. The game still has decent resale value, but Now I am stuck with it.

That was me over a year ago.

Tonight I platinum'd that bitch!!! :):mad::cool::eek::D

Man, what a ride. It has become my favorite gaming experience this generation, nothing else has matched the tension and intensity. This is a game that at times I would think about at work, dream about at night. Nothing matches the feeling of dread when you are hours into a map, just praying you don't die before you find that shortcut. Now that I have finally pretty much seen everything in the game, I am kind of sad that there isn't more. But I have Dark Souls 1 waiting for me, and I am excited to experience that. I really hope Bloodborne will see a sequel though!

This is only my fourth platinum after Burnout Paradise, Hitman Absolution and Far Cry 3.

Congrats ... still amazes me that some managed to complete it in a couple of days and here we are over a year since it came our and I'm about 40% in it and you've just got platinum ... I'll never get to platinum, if I can one day complete it I'll be happy.

I picked up Duke Nukem 3D World Tour on the PS4 because it Duke is a series I have to get no matter how many times I've bought it before, like Mario and Sonic. It's still great! The new 3D renderer looks amazing.

Now, please bring us Doom 1+2, Bethesda! Has anyone noticed how Quake hasn't been ported?

Rented Titanfall 2 Friday night. Didn't care for some of the parkour wall running and maps in the campaign, and multiplayer didn't really do it for me either. So I am going to skip purchasing that one. Otherwise, slowly making my way through the new Dark Souls 3 DLC.

Yea, I will definitely skip Titanfall2 - the first could have been great but was a lackluster experience for me. Absolute disappointment.

On the other hand, BF1 multiplayer is so darn good it's not even funny. I've never been that good at BF3+4 but somehow this one gets it absolutely right. Not playing the 64 servers but TDM feels like the perfect CoD / BF mix: fast paced but not twitchy with lots of viable tactics and loadouts - also most of the levels are of top-notch design imo. Aragon Forest, Amiens and that small village are especially nice. I switch back and forth between TDM and Domination. Operations is a great mode but takes a tad too long with 30-45mins for me to be played regularily.

I have read and also seen for myself in a limited time that almost all of the flaws from the 1st one was fixed in the 2nd one and it is absolutely fantastic.

Props to Respawn for stepping up the sequel and listening to the gripes of the 1st disappointment and knocking it out of the park with this one.

I didn't mean to bad mouth TF2, it's highly rated and really a matter of taste. It was just not my thing.

There is something for every shooter fan this season:

TF2 = Fast paced parkour shooter with giant durable mechs
BF1 = Strategic varied paced shooter
CoD = Twitchy instant kill k/d ratio hunting
GoW4 = Cover based Shooter

I'm starting to appreciate the subtleties of the genre. I ended up buying BF1 for PS4 after playing a bunch of the trial.

Just picked up the 1TB XB1S bundle with Gears of War 4.

I have never played any game in the franchise so hoping to start from the beginning and work my way to the new one.

Ha, I got an email with a download code for an exclusive Bloodborne Platinum theme for my PS4. Is this a common thing for platinum trophies now? My last one was years ago on PS3...
