- Trying to wrap up my 3rd play though of Cyberpunk 2077. In a nutshell, I have been assimilated.
Despite it’s flaws and limitations, I describe this as a significant achievement in gaming. Obviously, a lot depends on if you are hooked or not, if you can accept the environment as it exists with its limits, while enjoying what the story offers. I’ve found that since Fallout 4, not sure if it is me or the improved characteristics of the games in general, technical advances in what games can offer today as compared to 30 years ago, but I’ve found myself immersed into some stories, where it kind of becomes an escape to a temporary alternate reality. See associated thread.
- Half-Life: Alyx- VR title, just started this and it looks very promising. It’s on pause while I finish up Cyberpunk 2077. See associated thread.
- World of Tanks- I keep playing this to spend time with my adult son, but I’m really despising the monetizing of this “free” game. Plus I think as I’ve gotten older, I’m not as good as I used to be, I’m dealing with power creep, and players who have been playing this all along who are just better than I am. I’ve known for years that online games, puts you up against players who live the game and it’s hard to compete casually.
