I still think you should come back to WoW for Cata. Nothing preventing you from leaving again when you get bored again :).

Hmm, I'll think about it. I do appreciate the thought. :) Honestly it is very unlikely although I do have the fondest of memories of WoW. It's just that after a while, regardless of individual tolerance, no matter what game, the routine becomes repetitious and the limitations of the game world become glaring. However, Wow is the high point of my video gaming adventures.

I'm planning on leaping into StarWars:The Old Republic and I don't think that is going to be Mac native. :( And who know how long I'll stick with it? I'm in a wait and see mode to see if it is truly ground breaking or a MMO version of Dragon Age. Not to say that DAO is bad, it is an outstanding solo RPG.

My wish would be to play in a sandbox, WoW-like MMORPG that emphasizes world exploration with huge, I mean huge zones (say half the size of Kalimdore). Imagine a sprawling rain forest. Ok, it's just a fantasy. :)

Tales of Monkey Island
Minecraft
TF2
Left 4 Dead 2
Civ 4
Penumbra Overture
Half Life

Probably a few I'm forgetting too

Half Life 2
Half Life 2: Episodes 1 & 2
Left for Dead 2
Portal
Team Fortress 2
Sims 3 Base Game, World Adventures, High End Loft, Ambitions and Fast Lane.

Thinking About Buying:ModernWarfare,AssassinsCreed,TheForceUnleashed,Bioshock:)

add the force unleashed ultimate sith edition to the list*

plays good at 800x600. I think all the settings are high It doesn't let you change them only resolution. looks good tho

I'm not much of a gamer. All of the following in the list were obtained as part of MacUpdate/MacHeist bundles.

  • WingNuts
  • Neon Tango
  • Tiki Magic Mini Golf (my daughter likes this one, so it gets the most playtime of all of these by a considerable margin)

I once had Paradise Paintball as a Dashboard widget in its early days, but stopped playing when many other players started taking the game too seriously. This was right around the time the player character graphics changed from benign imp to anime-inspired punk. I never bothered to update once that happened, and have since deleted the widget.

send me a pm and ill tell you

As he could not even post in this forum it proves the way is not exactly legal... It's called piracy :( I know how it's done but that does not mean I recommend it if you want to keep all your software legal.

That sounds like it would be a lot of fun, maybe if we're lucky something like that will pop up in the next decade lol

I play a lot of Steam games like Left4Dead2, Counter-Strike Source, Day of Defeat Source. Other games i play: World of Warcraft, Amnesia Dark Descent, Dragon Age Origins, Machinarium. The problem? time! I work for usually 9 hours a day and i have many hobbies, i have finished Dragon Age now after months i was playing it.

Nice game to check: Natural Selection 2, a Mac version should be released in the near future. Impressive game.

New Mac user here, the only game I have is Starcraft 2. I just received it on Thursday, not played it yet just read the tutorials. It looks really involved and will take me some time to figure it out but I am looking forward to that.

Have just start visualizing it on Virtual Machines so pretty much just the built in.

I have:

HL2
HL2 Episode 1
HL2 Episode 2
L4D2
Portal
Counter Strike Source
Quak Wars Enemy Territory
Startcraft 2
Bioshock

But I have only really played HL2 Episode 2, Portal and Starcraft 2 (Perfect PC game).
Otherwise I use my PS3 or Windows in bootcamp.

Currently:
Starcraft 2

Once my internet gets hooked up here on base:
World of Warcraft
All steam Mac games
MW2

I'm considering using bootcamp, but I'm still entertained by all the games available on Mac thus far.

Not much indie love in this thread...

Aquaria (beautiful underwater arcade platformer and adventure game)
Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup (awesome graphical rogue like with tons of replayability)
Frogatto (really nicely done classic platformer)
Minecraft (you guys should know this... if not, look it up!)
Tales of Monkey Island (they're on Steam now as well!)
Revenge of the Titans (extremely well made tower defense game, feels more like a proper RTS)
World of Goo (very weird, but interesting puzzle game)

(Of course I have Starcraft 2 and L4D2 and so on...)

Straight out of my games folder in OS X:

Bioshock
Borderlands
CoD 1, 2, 4, and MW2
Chess
F.E.A.R. 2
Fallout 3
GTA San Andreas
Half Life 2, and HL2 EP1
Halo 1
Lego Star Wars 1 and 2
Mass Effect
Max Payne
N64 Emulation (sixtyforce)
NES Emulation (Nestopia)
Pac the Man X
Prey
Quake 4
Star Wars The Force Unleashed
Starcraft 1

Total cost: $0 ;)

I only play Crysis and A.V.A. in bootcamp.

all the games I have installed right now... many are Wineskin, Dosbox, or Cider ports, but all are in a standard Mac .app format just double click and play, so no big deal.... so these vary widely in ages of games, some over 20 years old :) (newer isn't always better). none of these are played using Windows...

Hello,
How is the privateer remake and what is parallel universe? Is it like privateer 2: the darkening? I remember that game and enjoyed it a lot... and wouldn't mind getting a game like that. I am not a huge gamer anymore so I was just curious.

Also how is rome;total war?
