Often when I should be working, I'll fire up the following (on the OS X side)--

EMULaunch (as a clean way to consolidate most of my emulation launching)
MAME OS X
OpenEmu (Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Genesis ... ah, the good old days!)

While I haven't found a way to make it work cleanly with EMULaunch, I also use zero64 for Nintendo64 emulation. I also use Boxer to play some old DOS games.

And lastly, but certainly not least(ly), I also just found Paul the Tall's wrapper for NBA2K11, which actually plays pretty decently on my 2010 MacBook Air. It's not console quality (all settings on low except for player detail, which I set to medium, turn off the other superfluous stuff), but it's fun when I'm on the road and away from the real thing.

Pretty old thread but since it's up again then.. What I have on Mac OS now is:

Left4Dead 2
CSS
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
Need For Speed: Most Wanted

Wow I just realized after I got this MBP, I have never installed any games on it. There's nothing on here but Apple's chess game.

Back in the old days I totally loved Crystal Quest, was that its name? I was obsessed by it. I would play that game until I was bleary-eyed in the wee hours on weeknights, with meetings scheduled at 9 or 10am next day... eek! Six cups of coffee to find my brain. Back then I also liked Tetris and that little freebie thing called Columns, mindless stuff for while you're on hold on the phone.

Nowadays on notebooks, I usually have just a Sudoku and sometimes Bejeweled, again for when stuck on hold.

In my really ancient history, I loved playing Zork on PCs in the 80s. My only experience with computers prior to that was work-related and pretty standardized if not exactly boring. So Zork was amazing to me, that you could have fun with a computer running this sort of open-ended text-based adventure game. It was another late-night obsession of those times!

As far as native Mac, I've casual. The most complicated Mac native game I'm playing is Torchlight. For Windows on my Mac, I'm gearing up to play The Old Republic.

I'm playing WC3/FT and Wow on the OS X side. The only thing preventing me from erasing my vista bootcamp partition is MI2SE. I guess it'll never be released for OS X.
Luckily, I can still play all the original Lucasarts adventures in OS X using SCUMM.
Also playing SNES classics with SNES9x and CPS2 games in Mame.

I'm still running Leopard but will be upgrading to SL next week.

This month I have been mostly playing Just Cause 2 and loving every bloody minute of it.
Under Windows 7 of course!
