Looks like my G4 Powerbook.
Well…until the Unibody's the Mac Book Pros were based off the old Aluminum PowerBook bodies. My 17" MBP looks a lot like my 17" PowerBook too.Looks like my G4 Powerbook.

I assume this will run on a G4 Pismo(was G3) under tiger ?
Doing a little creative writing today. I find OS 9 to be the perfect writing environment.

Awesome! I'm admittedly more used to AppleWorks and use it whenever possible, but I'm no stranger to and a big fan Office for MacI triple agree with that ! I did my resume in Office 2001 and there small things.

Exactly

You could also set the screen to 256 greys for an even less distracting experience. Who needs colour when writing?
You have a point about the colors (although my wallpaper is quite pretty) and I wouldn't mind typing on nano entirelyDo it the @AphoticD way and go super minimal
Fullscreen Command Line Mode (OS X -NoGUI)
I'm not sure how well known this little trick is, but if you're looking to run a regular installation of OS X as a GUI-less CLI, with none of the bells and whistles of Aqua, Cocoa and the rest of it, then you can run the Darwin/BSD underpinnings standalone. This can result in a huge improvement...forums.macrumors.com

I have a question for all OS 9 users out there - when playing a dvd under DVD Player 2.7, I am hearing popping sounds - there was a fix fir this but I can’t seem to find the link. Does anyone remember how to fix the popping sound ? Also, is there a way to get iTunes 2.0.4 working again ? All I want to do is listen to radio while rebuilding my OS 9 library of what I can remember.
That’s what you meant, the radio feature? That’s long dead. About the DVD issue, no idea.

Ok, also some good news - I did speak with Cameron Kaiser and he told me that classila is not abandoned, just he has been really busy.. but since you know a lot about OS 9 and CodeWarrior - maybe you can assist me in trying to get classila to work with most of not all modern security ?
When you mean long dead, not connecting to Apple’s server ? If I could get the new server address, can iTunes in OS 9 work again ? I also have Soundjam MP which may still work.

Just press cmd+u and enter the url for a stream.
Do you know what his day job is?Ok, also some good news - I did speak with Cameron Kaiser and he told me that classila is not abandoned, just he has been really busy..
When I was running OS 9 on my Sawtooth, I would get popping sounds/audio skips during DVD playback if I had a Radeon 9000 installed, hooked up to DVI and outputting a resolution higher than 1152x870. The solution I used was to set the Mac's resolution to 1152x870. I forget which hz rate I used.
Not dead. Different.
Yes, if you try and use the radio feature of early versions of iTunes it will not work. But the radio function itself is not dead. You just have to approach it differently now. Find the streaming file of your radio station and open it with iTunes. Usually that is a .pls file. iTunes will add that to your library as a 'song' - which you can play (and therefore stream) just like you would any regular song.

Cameron is a research doctor. He works for Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, Calif. and aside from his normal duties he also teaches classes.
Considering the current pandemic, I imagine he is far busier than he normally is. The fact that he can even maintain T4Fx is in itself remarkable.
.pls files have nothing to do with iTunes or it's folder structure. These are streaming files that each internet radio station generates.where in OS 9 do I find .pls files or in what folder ?
