Is your beige a desktop or a tower? Your resolution seems to be that of 1280x1024, which is quite different to the standards of today. But I like it. And it was huge back when.
And of course there are many 5:4 LCDs with that resolution, greatly increasing its popularity in the early-to-mid 2000s before widescreens took over.
Load heavily ?? Of what so funny here ?..+ LOAD heavily. Just joking, no offense
.
Добра знахідка й покупка ! 101 total not so bad.. no issues with it ?GOT
ANOTHER
QUAD!!!
Video is reflashed 7800 GTX.
Prices (roughly converted from RU): around 80$ system unit itself, +12$ power cable, +11$ for taxi
. 101$ total - I think not so much for top model
. Will test it later (or tomorrow), it's around midnight here.
That sucks, I hope you can get it fixed. It's not starting up. Was trying to swap intake fan assembly - no effect. There is cable in second quad, which have to be hidden somewhere in LCS, I think. But it runs straight above memory modules, which leads to difficulties in fan assembly installation. Now G5 starts, bongs & sometime later - red light & howl. Guys, feel myself a donkey
.
Not all of them, those with AGP & PCI - air cooled (don't quite remember, was it PCI-Ex when LCS came?). Here is topic about conversion liquid cooling to airthe G5s are liquid cooled, right?
Only the 2.5/2.7 GHz PCI-X and 2.5 GHz Quad are.the G5s are liquid cooled, right?)
My info is corroborated by EveryMac - not that it's the definitive source...Oh, I seem to have remembered it wrong, as Amethyst1 might have better information there.
Thank you for your good words. Primary goal for this Mac was (& I hope is) another Gentoo Linux installation, \cause tthis model is only capable of building everything itself (not very fast). Will talk with some people here about possibilityes, tomorrow.I really would want to see that thing of your newest baby in motion, with pics, benchmarks or something.
I know this is offtopic, but it just shows how far apple has changed since the PowerPC days.
Barely anyone is catering to us…As I've ranted endlessly in the past, Apple is now selling lifestyle products and has marketed themselves as a brand in the vein of Nike or Tommy Hilfiger and they're offering seasonal fashion pieces for posers. By and large, they're not really catering to people like us any more.
@alex_free We're catering to us.![]()
Well, where to start - I installed a new 512GB Msata M2 into my Titanium G4. It was easy, but also studying how to replace and fix the display on it.
