That I can imagine. And also eating out / cooking at home must be problematic.
I have a friend who is Coeliac… the restaurant staff always get the 3rd degree before any ordering… often they just say… "I'll ask the manager to come and talk to you."
We don’t eat out. The side effects are often pretty instantaneous so that isn’t an option.

This makes me wonder if there is a medication correlation and may not actually be related to food in general.
She’s not on medication.

I’m on my second Old Fashioned and decided I need an emergency dinner.
I ate it faster than the speed of light.

Smoked, sweet paprika (one of the stalls in the farmers' market sells two kinds of smoked paprika - picante and dulce) goes with almost everything, I have noticed; egg dishes, anything with rice, and some serious chowder or fish soup style dishes.
Roast some nuts and seeds with it. It's so delicious you'll finish the entire baking tray of it before you can serve it to others.

I went out and killed some Chinese takeout at our local hole in the wall Chinese place. They don't do sitdown service so they can concentrate on cooking good food. We had steamed dumplings, beef lo mein for the kids, mu shu pork, Szechuan chicken and garlic beef. There was rice, too. Don't know about everyone else, but I am stuffed!

And short a plate and a knife.
Lol!

Oh that elusive Chinese take out. I hope you had a DNR tag!

The options are all pretty hard to resist once you pick up the broadsheet menu on offer in those hole-in-wall places, that's for sure. When I lived in NYC, the Chinese takeout options were not so elusive as they are up here. No matter which train or bus I used in coming home at night, I felt like the sidewalks ran right through the front doors of those shops. Some were Szechuan, some Cuban-Chinese and some Cantonese. So hard to remember at that point that there was a refrigerator full of vegetables and other salad fixings waiting at home.

Oh my, what a strange coincidence!
Yesterday in the afternoon my younger son made an omelette soufflé with Gruyère. Unbelievable.

I was thinking gruyere but I’ve been eating the heck out of it! It’s been open season on gruyere here. I’m considering grating it on an old wallet just because I’m tired of seeing it in a drawer. Gruyere is so delicious and fun to work with.

Talking about Gruyère, Gutwrench, you know what? Let's make la fondue Suisse for dinner.
I already feel the melting cheese in my mouth.

LMAO.
There is a very nice little place between Vevey and Montreux where they make the "bestest" ever fondue.
(Damn, I can't type normally... mouse ≠ mouth. Have to take a nap).
Aha, let me know as I have been to a few myself. If you like raclette (melted cheese over potatoes)= I highly recommend the "Caveau de Nyon" located in the cellar of the Chateau de Nyon. We have a dinner every semester with our students and their Swiss homestay families.

Here no. Very nice atmosphere and they do fondue as well.

Yes, yes, yes! I know the place, have been there a number of times. Do they still have wine bottles on the walls?
