The ability to display screens on my monitors wirelessly, full HID support for my keyboard/mouse, and the ability to utilize my eGPU for Mac OS games so I can have one device for everything. OK I guess I'm 5-10 years early...

Lower their prices lol. Better low light photos would be nice. Never realized how important it is to me until I bought a one plus 6t.
- Ability to specify default apps
- Dark mode
- numbers row / swipe feature in the keyboard
- unlock the app icons so I can place them toward the bottom of the screen where my fingers are
- independent volume control for alarms

Low light photo’s would be an excellent addition or revamp. For example, Google’s ‘Night sight’ is some fairly spectacular technology through software that makes a huge impact on Photos in darker environments.
Either much better water resistance or much better glass durability.

Theres nothing really wrong with the hardware except the flickering OLED screens on the XS models and low resolution on the XR and the obtrusive notch- the glaring fault with iPhone is iOS lack of a user friendly file system. That's its greatest flaw.
I know I'm in the minority for saying this, but I personally have no interest in a smartwatch and think they are a waste of money.Always on display. Should be simple for them to implement but I’m sure it won’t happen since they would rather push the watches.
Truly useful virtual assistant. Examples:
- Siri, how many new emails do I have in gmail? Read me the one from my son's teacher.
- What does weather underground say about the weather at 2pm this afternoon?
- Get the tracking number for my package from Amazon
- Record today's weight in the health app
- Open my coffee app and start the brew timer
