Ability to move my icons to anywhere on my home screens instead of forcing them into the top left.

Ability to select a true virtual trackpad, so I could interact with sites that need them ( one work website I use uses drag and drop for pictures, which I can’t do on my phone).
[doublepost=1552046503][/doublepost]Big flash.
[doublepost=1552046643][/doublepost]Ability to set multiple notification pings until stopped by me.

A camera that'll allow me to print photos to poster size (at least A3) without degradation in quality.

The ability to be able to schedule text messages.

Customizable icon size and layout on home screen and dock. Also dark mode would be nice.

No notch. A truly edge to edge display.

Always on display. Should be simple for them to implement but I’m sure it won’t happen since they would rather push the watches. ;)

Themes would kick ass. My favorite Android feature.

...all of the above.
:apple:

Not sure this is exactly a feature, but my dream is a build and battery quality back to what it used to be, or significant price cut to reflect the current quality.

This isn't an iPhone feature but an IOS feature really. I'd love to see iOS "themes" plus skins, or what I would call an iOS "wrapper". I've recently been helping my elderly mother switch to an iPhone, she was going to go with a jitterbug for its simplicity, so here's how this would work. A developer can create a completely new UI for the iPhone, so we could have, for example, a "jitterbug" like theme that seniors find easy to use. There could also (in the other direction) be an "advanced" or "pro" theme that has all kinds of customizations and is more like android in that respect (for "power users"). Ideally the "wrappers" could be changed on the fly, so if someone is, say, trying to follow instructions on how to do something from the web they can change back to default iOS and follow along.

I’ll limit my answer to hardware.
If just one feature, it would be a tossup between 100x optical zoom and perfect lowlight.

Other mad wishes:
Night vision (if lowlight isn’t perfect)
Heat vision
100 petabyte storage
One month battery life
Solar and kinetic charging
HomePod sound
100% viewable in daylight screen
Zero smudge screen
2d and 3d projection
Unbreakable
Credit card size

I don't understand why nobody has dream feature of good battery life

This would be my #1 feature.

I would also like better resistance to falls and a lower price. ($1,000 for a phone, really?)

I do not want tons of additional features, as they are really not that useful, and usually only increase the price and reduce battery life. Let us focus on the basics.

How about a white point color temp slider?

Will never get it because Apple knows best, and color filters is NOT a substitute whatsoever.

This and get rid of Face ID. Or offer a choice of Face ID or Touch ID. User replaceable battery.

Face ID isn’t leaving, I think that’s fairly evident, and it’s just now starting to expand into the iPad line, and eventually the Mac. It has so many possibilities to improve and expand past its current capabilities, I would expect Face ID to be part of Apples biometric future for at least the next 5/6 years, and the _only_ way I see face ID being abandoned, is if Apple can implement even a stronger/more secure future of biometric security.

  • PIP
  • App Modular Camera app like how apps are integrated into imessage
  • Night Shot Mode(Pixel)
  • Wide-angle Lens Portrait mode
  • Notchless
  • Minimum 128gb
  • GoPro Hero 7 black level image stabilization
  • alexa level microphone sensitivity(HEY SIRI!)
  • All in the exterior of the iPhone 5SE body
  • Size of an iPhone XR.
Someone, please share my post with a UX/UI/Industrial designer to get this mocked up.

More choice/customizability. iOS is far superior to Android when it comes to fluidity, security, optimization, and privacy, I just wish Apple would give us more choice on things.

Currently waiting for the A12 Jailbreak so I can customize more things to my liking.

Put Icons anywhere I want them, top, bottom, left right...shouldn't be any Apple restrictions on where I want the icons.
The ability to put more than just four icons per row, same for the bottom row. 6 minimum. Shouldn't be any restrictions there either.
Google Search bar on any screen I want (maybe even all of them, Nova has consistent search bar), and any size I want.
Keyboard with a number row. Should be able to turn the number row off and on. It should be up to me not Apple to decide these things.
Battery percentage next to the battery icon at the top.

The phone should be as customizable as possible. The phone should be about me being able to use it anyway I want to not about Apple choking me. Learn from Samsung Apple...there's a reason people are leaving you for them.
Freedom!!!!!

Always on display, I'm jealous of all my Samsung friends who can see the clock just by looking at their phone without touching it. They can see notifications there too and weather etc if they so please.
Total freedom Apple...common.

Larger battery, min 4000 mAh.
Optional back button, home button and recent apps button, think Samsung. If I want buttons instead of gestures I can just turn them on. Sorta like being able to use both a mouse or a keypad.

Stronger antenna. Friends with Samsung phones with the same mobile provider as I are not dropping calls when I do.

Honestly, the current iPhone are pretty good, but they need (IMHO)...
  • A better modem - Intels aren't cutting it
  • A better camera system - Right now, iPhone XS is anywhere between the second and fourth best camera system on the market (Pixel 3 runaway number one, Mate 10, and the Pixel 2 is still as good or better).
  • A night sight equivalent
  • A call screening feature
  • Improved recognition through sunglasses for FaceID (nitpick)
  • AOD would be nice as well. Android has been doing this for so long now.

Siri. One of the most crucial features for the iPhone/iOS. Siri has so much potential to be just as efficient as the competition, if not better, but with the right changes made to provide a stronger translation to deciphering words/phrases, expand on providing more in depth/relevant results and quicker response times. One of the reasons they recruited John Giannandrea from Google last year, is to hopefully address some of these changes.
