At the moment it would have to be the XR with a slightly thinner case and an OLED screen of at least 1080P resolution.
It’s rumoured to get 4GB RAM and the dual camera setup this year, so if in 2020 it gets that OLED and a smaller screen I’m all set!

Nope, the XR is 6.1” for one, cheaper, and is rumoured to get 4GB ram this year and the dual cameras, and Apple are rumoured to go all OLED in 2020. So what I wished for will become true according to current rumours.
No idea about the thinner design.

I don’t believe that’s a ‘feature’ (At least based on the actual thread topic it’s not), that’s an entirely new concept of a -hardware design- that you’re requesting. Also, anecdotally, I think _all_ of Apple’s phones are ‘Flagship’ models, I don’t think there ever is just one model that’s a ‘Flagship’, just because of how well-made they are and a lot of the iPhones share consistent capabilities/hardware across the product line.

The XS has a far higher res OLED screen then 1080p, and this year it will get three cameras. So by 2020 the XR will have an OLED plus dual cameras and 4GB RAM, the XS will have triple cameras and I suspect still have a higher res screen plus other benefits.
The XR will become the XS, the XS will evolve into something else. That’s ccording to the rumours and it’s the ‘dream features’ I want.

A camera lens, equivalent to mirrorless or full-frame camera, why not a medium format?
For video it would be outstanding to have the quality of a RED or Alexa camera.

Is that a zoom lens in your pocket?

For X-derived phones? Under screen fingerprint scanner, RBG screen (don't mind between OLED or LCD, but should be at least 1080p like the iPhone pluses) and there's always room for a better camera.
