I have that phone too (also with Verizon). (I would put a pic up but I don't know how .)Originally posted by ITASOR
I have the Motorola v265 with Verizon. It's OK, I like Verizon though, it works really good in my area and when we travel. It takes decent pictures, but no flash, so darkness kills it.
All in all, I really like the outside screen with the black background and white text!

My Dad's no gadget fan but he did get the original Motorola brick phone in the late 80's/early 90's for work. He and his partner used to share the phone depending who was on call and they went on that way only ever swapping the phone when the analogue service was replaced with GSM until he retired a couple of years ago.firststrike101 said:Heres my cell.

Anyone got any experience of either of these?
Investigate the coverage in your area before you switch to it... or you may live to regret that decision. Although you might be alright with a PAYG option - I didn't realise they were offering that now (i'm on a contract). I've been an Orange customer for years and signed up to the 3G service as soon as they launched it last December. They told me i'd have good coverage in west/central London, but in actual fact it's very flakey. I'm not sure about the newer 3G handsets but the older ones such as my Z1010 don't have the option to manually switch between 2G and 3G networks (only Orange can change that at their end). The handset will always attempt to lock on to a 3G signal no matter how poor... which oftentimes results in me not being able to send text messages or make/receive calls. It also frequently drops calls as it goes in and out of 3G service. This is my second Z1010 - the first was diagnosed as faulty as it kept overheating and draining the battery whenever in a poor coverage area. This one is a LOT better than the first one I struggled with but i do still experience dropped/missed calls and "No Access" when it can't find the network at all. Pretty crap when you pay around £50 a month for it. From December i'll probably just switch back to 2G service.caveman_uk said:I'm thinking of going to 3G now orange does PAYG 3G.
Just looked...I'm on the edge of a 3G hole....Hmmm, funny as I have am orange mast about 50 feet from my house. My T610 has flakey reception on 2G in areas around the town (although I get 5 bars at my house) so I'm used to less than ideal reception. Maybe wait a bit and then defo get a Nokia as they tend to have better reception anyway.dietcokevanilla said:Investigate the coverage in your area before you switch to it...

This is my second Moto phone and both of them have had charging problems (ie: you'll plug it in, come back in an hour and it will never have charged, you'll wiggle the connector and it starts). Not too big of a problem, but very annoying, just wondering if anybody else had it.
Also, I'm really happy with Verizon's coverage, but they don't have any of the good/popular phones, such as the RAZR & ROKR those all go to Cingular.
