I loved Megamind. Because it's just his voice, we never had to see Will Ferrell in his underwear, so Megamind doesn't lose points for that. "Land of the Lost", however, does lose points for Will in his undies.

Actually it was excellent voice acting, he was able to take on a different personality then his usual psycho brand of humor. :D

Wife and I are re-watching Infernal Affairs 1-3. I am still stymied how that uncreative knock-off The Departed could get Oscars, or even get nominated for that matter.

I thought The Departed was very good, especially the ending. You saying it was a knock off? (of IA1-3, which I have never heard of or something else?) You know the movie The Departed and the Jack Nicholson character was based on Boston gangster Whitey Bulger who was recently apprehended on the West Coast in retirement...

That would be a no.

The Departed is a 2006 American crime thriller film, fashioned as a remake of the 2002 Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs.[2]

Just finished Bridesmaids. Pretty decent movie, not what I was expecting based on the few trailers I saw. Just thankful it was not pure stupidity like all the bachelor type movies. I really hate those movies.

Favorite scene...is when they are trying on the dresses... between the "LAVA" comment and the running across the street. I was in stiches. There were a couple of scenes that went on just a tad to long but it was a decent flick.

Today was "Thor". I hadn't read any of the comics, but I was familiar with the mythology. Overall, I thought it was okay for a comic adaptation. I don't know how else you could try and show Thor achieving a personal breakthrough in only an hour or two.

Last night we watched "Mars needs Moms". It really bothered my eldest son, but I thought it was okay. He didn't like the thought of losing his mom.

Collectively, we didn't like it enough to watch it more than once. I guess that means that my boys liked "Honey, I blew up the kid" more. I didn't.

I watched a Greek film called Dogtooth. It's basically The Village meets Flower in the Attic. It was pretty crazy but I don't recommend it due to it's slow pace and ending that leaves you hanging.

I was pleasantly surprised with Thor. Good cast and Natalie Portman lights up the screen.

We just watched Captain America and while it did a good job of creating a WWII vibe, the story was blah, can't recommend it.

Took the kids to see Puss in Boots this past weekend. Like most of the Shrek series it was fun with some adult humor mixed in to keep parents entertained.

Yep, just saw it last night. I read some positive things about Captain America here on MR, but I thought the movie was terrible. It was probably a combination of a poor script with average acting, although it's safe to say that most of the blame can be placed on the script.

I also saw Midnight in Paris. My friends absolutely hated it (one stopped paying attention half-way through it), but I enjoyed it. I didn't love it, but it's not something I'd recommend to most people.

Finally watched Super 8. For some reason I'd been avoiding and still didn't know anything about the plot. It but it turned out it was really good.

Just watched The Thing. One of my favorites. :)

The new one was just...okay.

Waitress, can we have more fries? My friend is fat.

To me, there was way too much going on in the plot. Between his mom's death, their dads' rivalry, their relationship, them making their movie, the military experimentation, and of course the whole alien monster thing.

Right now i am watching the workout movies of the Arnold which are very helpful for me to lose the weight and also for the build the body muscles.

Last night I saw Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Considering how bad the first two are, I can't imagine why I thought this one would be any better. It wasn't. Definitely the worst of the bunch.

Today, I watched Nim's Island. For me, it wasn't too bad, but my boys liked it a lot.

Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas - Funny, if you liked the others this one is good, if you didn't, you're not gonna like this one either!!

Friends With Benefits - Was expecting this to be more of a comedy, really is more of a "chick flick" so be warned.

Rise of The Planet of the Apes - was expecting this to suck and be pretty boring but I actually thoroughly enjoyed this flick!!

American Masters - Pearl Jam Twenty

Cameron Crowe's documentary on two decades of one omy favorite bands rocked, literally! His mix of music, interviews and vintage behind the scenes video made for an epic tale of an epic band. If you're a PJ fan, it's a must see. If you're not, you're listening to it wrong. ;)
