Space 1999, first series was epic, second a flop hence no third series. Had the producers held firm and not sold out no doubt the series would have sustained.

Why studios interfere is beyond me, personal ego who knows. Generally result is a misfire and we as then fans loose out and they wonder why people don't go the the movies these days as vast majority today utter is rubbish and not worth the entry price...

I wonder how many more franchises have to flop, before the studios wake up. Another industry such people would be fired for sheer incompetence...

The original "Lost in Space" had a similar problem. The first season was good Sci-Fi but it devolved in later ones. There was one episode where the "monster" was a giant lobster.

The Marvels. I liked it.

It didn't make the money Marvel is used to, but based on Rotten Tomatoes, the people that did see it liked it (critics: 62, audience: 82).

It deserved a better fate.

The suits will always think they know better than the creators.

Good artistry will always make money. Had my way I'd fire the majority of studio execs as they are firmly & clearly detached from the audience. They need to get back to basics and learn to entertain the paying client and stop massaging their ego's...

"Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" had the same problem. I loved the show ( I had a model "Seaview") until it got stupid.

Inception (2010)- I love this movie based on its creativity even though there is zero evidence as far as I know that there is any technological basis for the premise of the story, joint dreaming, extracting information from someone’s dream, much less planting an idea in someone’s head via a joint dream.

In addition, the story plays fast as loose regarding the mechanics of dreaming, such as how you or objects react in a dream based on physical events. My personal experience is that physics can be highly distorted in a dream. Regardless it makes me think about reality- my reality, and what we consider to be reality. Note, not an original idea: Dreamscape (1984).

Although my impression is that technology is approaching a point, where it can determine what a subject maybe thinking.

Green Book(2018)When I watched the movie again, I'm still shocked by the lines.
"So if I'm not black enough and if I'm not white enough, then tell me, Tony, who am I?"
"The world is full of lonely people waiting to make the first move."
"Whatever you do, do it a hundred percent. When you work, work. When you laugh, laugh. When you eat, eat, eat like it’s your last meal."

Knight and Day (2010)- One of Tom Cruise’s best movies. Possibly Cameron Diaz’s best movie, tongue’n cheek spy thriller, adventure. The beginning sequence on the plane might catch you by surprise.:)
