Had some great laughs watching this unpretentious movie.

I just watched this for the second time after seeing it in the theater in 1996. It was painfully slow and long. Not as good as I remembered. Stereotypical roles and predictable as ever.

Btw I’m a 46 year old married man who loved Rom coms back in the day because I would often picture myself in those movies. I would day dream about finding someone and getting married. That’s probably why a lot of the movies I loved 30 years ago don’t hold up that well today. But I still love the nostalgia of watching them on occasion.

I recently also rewatched Forget Paris which was one of my favorites from the 1990’s. It was also the first movie I remember seeing in the theater as an adult by myself. It was also the first movie ticket stub I saved that started my ticket stub collection. It still holds up well.

You know what I miss, those fun/goofy movies from the 70s/80s

I just saw on YT the opening scene of the Cannonball run. These are just plain fluff movies where you can see the actors having as much fun making the movie as it is watching.

We really don't see this any more, a movie full of stars, who do something just for the fun of it

Cannonball Run 2 was a fun movie to watch. Especially the intro with the Lamborghini and Catherine Bach. Also enjoyed Jackie Chan in this. I must’ve watched the big fight scene at the Ranch 20 times as a kid.

I don’t think I had ever seen this movie from start to finish. I had seen it from about the midpoint several times. I just watched this last weekend and it was so inspiring and brought me to tears. It was tough to watch how much he was discriminated against but he continued to push against it and overcame the odds.

I highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it. It does have good amount of strong language in it. So be warned if you have children around. It is DeNiro after all.

Without a doubt one of the most convoluted films I've ever seen. I wanted to like it but ... nah...

Or maybe the best...? They were dealing with alzheimer's and at times I felt I had lost my mind... so who knows..?

Everyone is dying, eventually...
Correct, but when you are young it’s not quite as apparent, as when you are nearer to the end than the beginning. Don’t mistake this for fear, just a bit of sadness as the perishable nature of this existence becomes more prominent in my awareness. That said, I am optimistic about the prospects for the future. Yes, I’m referencing spirituality, but due to forum rules, the conversation must stop here. Check my signature for links where this topic can be explored more fully, if the desire is there. ☺️

National Treasure (2004)- Fun movie, intriguing story, great cast, one of Nicolas Cage’s best movies. Even though it’s all made up taking bits from history, it feels like it could be real. :D

Watched, Godzilla x Kong: The new empire.

Just wanted to check it out after I saw Monarch: Legacy of Monsters series.
It's kind of cute how they portrait those big 'things' living within the earth though.
Rate won't go higher than 5/10 though.

You do know that Godzilla is the actor with the most movies of any actor -- over 73 at last count.
