Watched a little bit of Koyaanisqatsi tonight. Will watch the full film tomorrow I think. Fifth time I've seen it. Definitely one of my favorite films. Ties up there with Umami's Interface.

Yes, I know, I have very weird tastes. But I'm also a very weird person so I guess it's not that surprising.

Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)- It’s ok. A sequel is planned for 2026.

The Green Mile (1999)- Amazing mystical story telling, a Stephen King Masterpiece. This movie touches me emotionally. There are some horrible scenes to watch in this story, but there is at least one miraculous occurrence that makes up for it.

Ok, I thought it was an entertaining movie. But the first half I felt like someone had slipped me acid. Just a bit out there. Normally I rate movies by am I upset I paid $X to go see it. Well it was my first movie in California and for the three of us movie and snacks (2 popcorn, 2 candy, cheese sticks and mac-n-cheese bites and a drink) were $140. Dayum!

So in that case, probably not. But in my world where that would cost half that, I would not be upset. ;)

A bit late to this one but finally got a chance to see it.. just about managed to stay awake at the end lol. But a very good film, and Oppenheimer was VERY true in his thoughts about what they did changed the world, you could argue forever if it was in a good or bad way. Personally I think bad, but someone would have invented it, and we are where we are now. MAD being the perfect acronym for it.
Anyway good film, can see why it got Oscar’s. Also it never stops, full on speed all the way through the film with endless dialogue. But it wasn’t tiring, just told the story.

The film and story really surprised me in the fact he warned everyone as much as he could of the consequences. And if the portrayal of the US President and what he said was true, I’m utterly disgusted by him.

Dayum is right. How much were the theater tickets each? Last time we saw a movie at the theater, it was a matinee and I paid $7 per ticket… that was after COVID. I specifically avoid buying food which cost more than the tickets.

I didn't like the movie. I attribute it to the manner in which the story was told, but it’s dim in my menory now, so I can’t give specifics. 😐

As far as changing the world, it has to be in a bad way, but inevitable. Technology provides us the way to both save and destroy ourselves. It’s part of the game of are we worthy enough? In my opinion, the answer is undetermined, but not looking hopeful.😔

Tickets were $66, Concessions were $73.

It was the AMC at Universal Citywalk.

Defiance (2008)- WWII, ‘Jewish brothers in German-occupied Eastern Europe escape into a Belorussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters, and endeavor to build a village, in order to protect themselves and about one thousand Jewish non-combatants’. Excellent story.
