Ref: Count of Monte Christo. I don't off hand remember if I've seen other versions but I want to say I saw an old one. The most excellent 2002 version stars Jim Caviezel, Guy Pearce, Richard Harris, James Frain, Dagmara Dominczyk, Luis Guzmán and Henry Cavill in one of his earliest roles.I love classic fiction but always tended to go for stories where the outcome for the main character was a little bit more cheerful.Looking at the plot of the original, purists will notice some differences in the film (as there usually is) - the ending is not quite the same as the book. It's one I'll happily watch again though and I'll also have a look out for that 2002 version. 👍
Really? You may have saved me a couple hours of my life!
Was he a double crossed General or just a plain old gladiator? 🤔sequels have a tough ask to equal or better the original.
in the case of Gladdy 2, it’s a C minus for mine.
i mean - it’s okay but … …
Gladiatore 2
plus - it's not the same without a Hans Zimmer score.
Hans Zimmer

🙏I have my Christmas with my girls and grandchildren on Christmas Eve DAY...we do presents in the late morning and then all go out to lunch. That evening, the kids spend with their father and his side of the family so I have Christmas EVEning alone. This is when I watch my favorite Christmas movies, those being "Love, Actually" and "The Holiday" with Jack Black, Cameron Diaz, and Jude Law (it's kind of corny; definitely a chick flick, but I like it). Christmas morning I watch Ralphie and his Red Rider BB gun while I enjoy a cup of coffee or two with a touch of Bailey's in it.
This year may be somewhat different as I am going to be living with my daughter for awhile when she gets out of the hospital (God willing, she'll be out for Christmas) and it will be my youngest granddaughter's first Christmas!
Do you have a favorite Christmas movie that you routinely watch? I'd love to hear what it is!
Happy Holidays, everyone. ❤️

Two Christmas movies I’m vested in: A Christmas Carrol (1938) and It’s A Wonderful Life (1946).I have my Christmas with my girls and grandchildren on Christmas Eve DAY...we do presents in the late morning and then all go out to lunch. Two of the best! Two Christmas movies I’m vested in: A Christmas Carrol (1938) and It’s A Wonderful Life (1946).
A brilliant story, It’s A Wonderful Life generates an emotional response from me every time. It shows the best, worst, and in between of humanity.
