I put it in the left since I'm a righty and put keys in my right pocket. My keys are like my sword, and my iPhone is like my shield. OK, maybe not. But that's kinda how it feels.

Then of course there's the wallet with 1,500 store savings cards because every bloody store has to have its own card. Best Buy, Ingles, Kroger, Staples, Office Depot, Game Stop. Then I have those worthless things like insurance cards and a driver's license. Can Apple make an iCard app that puts all of this on my phone???? :)

I honestly can't decide, although I usually keep it in my left pocket. Before I got my iPhone, I would put my cell phone in my left pocket, and my iPod in my right. This has been bothering me a lot since I got my iPhone, since I can never decide which pocket to put it in. I want to put it in my left pocket because it's my phone, but I also want it in my right pocket because I'm used to the feel of my iPod Touch in that pocket. I've been keeping it in my left pocket mostly though.

I used to keep it in the case on my belt like the one pictured earlier but one day I forgot it and put the phone in my left pocket. Keys etc in the right pocket.

The phone used to always have fingerprints and marks all over it when I carried it in the case. Now that I carry it in my pocket it is shiny and clean every time I take it out to use. Will probably continue to carry in my pocket for now, especially with the winter coming to keep it warm.

Right front pocket, in it's sleeve, all by itself. With slacks, the pockets are deep enough for easy access, but with jeans I have to remember to take it out before I sit down.

Being right-handed, I've always put my keys in my right pocket. As a result, to
keep from scratching, I keep my cell phone in my left pocket. :)

.

No pockets? No problem ...

Neither... iPhone goes in a Belkin Slim Fit case on my belt (right-hand side, if it matters). Easy acces and don't have to worry about scratching the phone with my keys, etc... Oh, and (after reading another post) now I am very fearful of lint :D

Mine is Left and keys and everything else including coins if any goes in right. Typically coins goes to Wife :D

iphone in left with change and smokes, keys and lighter in right, wallet in back right. If something is changed it throws me all out of whack. My phone has a back and front BSE skins so I dont have to worry about scratches at all.

You can scan images, and use something like Filevault to store those images on your iPhone.

I put mine always into the inside pocket of my jacket to keep it away from all the change and keys in my other pockets

Also, what hand does everyone use to type? Do you hold and type with the same hand, or hold with one hand and type with the other, or some other permutation?

When I type messages and emails I always type with both thumbs. Thats the fastest way to type for me

It depends what pants I am wearing. Some pants are easier to carry it in the right front, and some make it easier to carry it in the left front. It gets confusing sometimes, but it needs to be comfy, and i need to feel safe with where it is.
