Looking forward to being able to watch the event with my family and then nudge the person next to me saying: "I told you it would be an M4, sis!"
And please stop giving the universe ideas about a notched iPad. Stop that. Right now.
They need all the power to make installing all of the patches to their bug ridden software faster.Until Apple can make a software/OS usage case to leverage the performance of these ultra fast chips they put in iPads, I’ll be sitting this one out.
I have an 11-inch iPad Pro with M1 and have had little reason to upgrade. It’s fast, the battery lasts forever, and it’s my go-to consumption device. I use it for:
Vegging out after work, i.e., YouTube, Safari, reading books.
When traveling. Instead of lugging my 14-inch MBP on the airplane, I take my iPad
Sketching out projects around the house and yard that I want to work on, etc.
None of what I do requires a new tablet. M1 is already overkill. The M2 iPad Pros are crazy fast too. All this power with training wheels still in the OS department.
The notch is gonna come if they slim the bezels. Then the dynamic island, then the dynamic hole, then the invisible island. Apple has it all staked out on the roadmap.
Well i think i did not enter in Apple store since long time, current ipad pro 11 is already over 1000, LoLWhat to expect: Expensive things.
Now seriously, looking forward to replace my aging iPad Pro 9.7 by the OLED 11”, as long as is not above my budget (1000EUR)
Tim’s successor will have to sketch out even more models than Steve did.
Apple’s product line up is getting messier and messier.
They should prioritise battery capacity over thinness. I mean ipad Pros are already so heavy that holding them isn't really super comfortable. So thinness is a low priority id say.iPad Pro should focus less on 5mm thickness, and more on adding more ports such as SD Card and MagSafe 3 from Mac laptops, to make the device more "pro".
Agree. And also, increase battery life.iPad Pro should focus less on 5mm thickness, and more on adding more ports such as SD Card and MagSafe 3 from Mac laptops, to make the device more "pro".
I've lost count of the number of books I have read on my iPad Pros. They are far lighter than almost all of the hardcover versions of those books.I mean ipad Pros are already so heavy that holding them isn't really super comfortable.
Looks like the iPad Pro will be very expensive indeed. The iPad Airs will be the new Pro for most people.
For a lot of people the value proposition will be go iPad Air or just get a Macbook, especially if pen input isn't necessary for your a work.
This is true… but ipad mini is far easier to hold for long reading at home, on train etcI've lost count of the number of books I have read on my iPad Pros. They are far lighter than almost all of the hardcover versions of those books.
