You are known for saying that your phone is the fastest on the planet so how am I gonna trust you , pal?

Really !

and where the heck did you get that statement from....pal

Please highlight the post where I've said "my phone is the fastest on the planet "

Not literally but you've been repeatedly typing out "My phone runs smooth as butter" in like 4 other posts. :D

If I engage in a members thread which involves the topic of lagging / slowdown of freezing, or requests input in regards to asking if other users are experiencing issues after jail-breaking ,or downloading various or specific tweaks, then I must be honest in my reply.

If that looks like I'm repeating myself in various threads then thats more likely due to people making threads that are alike in content.

I'll try to word my replies differently.

It would have been nice if people put what each tweak does in brackets, that way those who don't know many tweaks will get some new ideas of what they might find useful.

Anyway, time for my list. Brace yourself cause this list is going to be intense

SwipeAway (Closes all open apps by swiping)
f.lux (Changes screen temperature according to the time of day)
WinterBoard (Set different themes and make some UI changes)
AdBlocker (Block ads in Safari)
iFile (Browse iPhone file system)
NCSettings (Add useful toggles to Notification Centre)

That's all. :D

EDIT: Regarding my suggestion, I just noticed that there is a thread at the top of the page which goes through tweaks and says what they do, so I guess doing it in this thread doesn't matter so much. :)

Gospel brother! Preach! I feel like a broken record at times too.

Oh and for what it's worth, I don't experience any real lag or battery drain either. But then again, I don't use winterboard. :D

;)

I use Winterboard to power the one theme I always like to use which is Z[ui.

I do not have lag but feel my battery life suffers somewhat but I do still obtain a full days use so Im fine with the trade off.

nice

so glad i found this forum. just freed my 4S a few days ago, and i've been relentless in trying to find all of the tweaks to make my phone work for me. some of the most useful ones for me are:

accelerate
activator
auxo
barrel
dietbulletin
intelliscreen x
multi-slide
nownow
statustab
tap to widgets
zephyr

there are a few others that have been pretty cool, but i can't remember their names. honestly, though, the ONE thing that i really want to do is to change the color of the red notification badges on my phone. i don't want to change any themes or icons or anything like that - i want my iphone to look like an iphone. i simply want the color of the badges to change. can ANYBODY help me figure out how to do that? i've downloaded winterboard and some badge-coloring themes, to no avail.

thanks for the help in advance, guys. :apple:

Have you moved the badge colouring themes to the top of the list in Winterboard ?

Some themes also have their own built in badge shapes and colours.

I'm using Colored Badges HD, which is a Winterboard theme, but it works. Just choose the color you want and activate it via Winterboard.

FYI Double @ is built into the stock firmware in iOS 6. Plus you can use it for any shortcut you want.

Cool list. Thanks for taking the time to give all the short descriptions too!

Regarding the double @, yes you can basically input anything you want to shortcut but I put email since its what it's really useful for. You have to use your email for basically anything you log in to now. For anything else, I use Action Menu. I thought it would save people time knowing exactly what the tweaks did rather than have to look each one up. If you guys know of something I could replace, please let me know!

LOVE the type status tweak!
I love it too, thought it was really cool and useful. I think it only works if the other people has imessages as well though.

Why ?? Why?? This tweak has 0 potential. I can't get it why people wanna know when someone is typing. Isn't it enough to know when they've sent something?

It saves you the trouble of locking your device and putting it back in your pocket or putting it down and walking away when you see someone is typing back maybe something important. Also, like this you won't feel like you are limited to being on the imessages app itself to know this. This is my opinion and I find it to be a very comfortable tweak to have.

I think you misunderstood me. What I mean is, doubt @ is built into the stock firmware. Just go to settings>general>keyboard>shortcuts. In there you can create @@ to automatically populate your email address. I also have "bf" populated for my user name BumpyFlatline. I have a bunch of shortcuts created. On top of that, if you use a lot of slang or curse words like me, you can spell out the entire word, then in the shortcut field, spell out the entire word again. Then whenever you go to type that word, not only will it treat it like every other word in your dictionary, but it'll also populate the word so you don't have to type the whole thing. I also use this for a ton of names. Names of friends, places, businesses, professional athletes, teams, etc.

Basically, Double @ is an Apple feature, but it allows for unlimited shortcuts. The tweak Double@ only allows for 1 shortcut.

In my opinion, there's no good reason to install an additional mobile substrate addon when not only is that capability baked into the firmware, but an unlimited version at that!

Edit: I forgot to mention that in iOS6 Apple now allows all these shortcuts you create to carry over when you upgrade to a new firmware. Whether you backup with iTunes or iCloud, all these shortcuts automatically get backed up and inserted into each new firmware restore. Pretty sweet! iOS6 made this process of adding words a 1 time affair. I love it.

Clearly everyone can tell I'm a huge fan of this feature lol. Every time I find myself using a word or name that my phone isn't familiar with, I immediately go to my settings app and add them and never get frustrated again by autocorrect! I make autocorrect work for me! Haha :D
