As a little kid, my parents' first Apple was also the first Mac - a 128K:

The first Mac that actually became mine was a hand me down IIcx given to me by my folks while I was in Jr. High.

And finally, the first new Mac I purchased with my own money was the original 400MHz G4 PowerMac:

A Performa 450/LCIII in 1993 (?).
I worked in a med. research lab and we had Classics, SE's, and a LCII networked together. Got the 450 on New Year's Eve and couldn't wait to go back to work to boast that it had COLOUR!!!! Oh - the thrill. I was walking on air for a week.
That was followed by a PowerPC 6500 - with the most amazing software package I've ever seen. Then.......never mind. :D

An Apple IIc, given to me by my primary school. IIRC they had used it as their office computer before upgrading. It had a couple of games and word processing software. The image is good representation of what I had.

Moving forward over a decade later, my first Apple purchase was the iPod (5th Generation - Late 2006)

My first Apple product was a Macintosh Plus which was sold when I was graduated. Now I have a 6-core Mac Pro and 13.3" MacBook Air with a Mac Mini being expected to arrive tomorrow.

My first Apple product was a 2gb 2º gen nano.

I was 14 and i saved all the money my parents gave me for like half a year (155€), and then in October (back in those days, Portugal used to get apple products way after USA), i saw that the 2g was almost out and i pre-ordered it, like a week before lunch. I used it everyday until i got the 8gb 2g ipod touch in 2009.

It was a 2005 model black iPod with video (30GB) it was the coolest thing ever at the time, apart from when the battery exploded one time.

Fair to say i doubt i'd have bought as much Apple stuff in the past 6 years if not for that

My first Apple product was a PowerMac G4 ("Yikes!") which I got for free from friends about a year ago.

My first Apple product I've bought myself was a 20" iMac G5, which I bought about a month ago.

iPod 4g in 2005.
I lusted after it ever since the iPod first came out but kept away due to the original not being PC compatible and then the crazy high prices.

But after owning various mp3 players in that time, all sucking, I finally splurged on the iPod with my meagre student wages. I remember loving the box it came in, and it was packed with accessories unlike today.

The iPod was like holding the future, I loved that thing.

My first Mac was the original Macbook Pro when Apple moved to Intel in 2006.
