First that was 'mine' was a first gen 512MB iPod Shuffle (the only iPod ever measured in MBs instead of GBs!), but I basically owned an iPod Mini for a year or so before that.

My first Apple purchase was a gift for my nephew. It was a Bondi Blue G3 iMac. In 2001 I bought myself a Flower Power iMac.

This:
ibook-g4-1-42ghz-14-1-display.jpg

iBook 14" 1.42ghz

It's on loan to a family member but it still runs! Needs a battery- I'm planning on getting around to that eventually.

The first product I actually owned was my 2nd Generation iPod nano.

But the first one I actually used was the Power Mac G3 all-in-one. Yay Kindergarten!

What I've learned from this thread is that one of Apple's best moves was the iPod since the "halo" effect clearly worked. So many people seem to have started with iPods and moved on to Macs.

Not that I ever thought otherwise, but it's interesting to see proof of sorts.
