Oh lord....

Nokia 5125 (Re-released 5120 that could send texts!)
Nokia 3650
Moto V330 (I had an LED Hello Kitty antenna that lit up blue for texts/calls on this one)
Sanyo SCP-5300
Moto Startac
Nokia 3310 (2017 version and actually awesome)

Smartphones:

Sidekick II (still miss the hell out of sidekicks)

HTC Blue Angel
HTC PPC-6700
Treo 700P
Treo 680
HTC Mogul
LG Lotus
HTC Touch Pro
HTC Touch Diamond
HTC Touch Pro II
HTC HD2 (still my favorite phone ever)
Samsung Galaxy SII
Samsung Note
Samsung Note II
Samsung Note 3
Samsung Note 4
LG V10

Samsung S7 Edge
Samsung Note 8
Iphone 8+ (my favorite iPhone ever, still use it a lot)

Iphone 12 pro max
Iphone 12 pro
Iphone SE2
Iphone 13 Mini

wow, so many phones for so many of you!

I briefly had some bar Nokia in about 2004. Then no phone at all again until 2008, a cheap flip samsung thing that was free from the carrier. My parents wanted to be able to call me, I didn’t want a phone.

But an iPhone was eventually interesting so my 2009 and on is:

iPhone 3GS

4s

5s

6s plus (still have and use this)

6s (family hand me down for times the 6s plus felt too big to carry)

Xs (spare from a carrier 2 for one deal a family member took)

13 pro (my first iPhone purchase in 6 years, and I know it will last me at least 3 years due to the carrier deal that convinced me to upgrade. But I’ll probably keep it even longer unless a USB-C iPhone Pro Mini with no camera bump comes out.)

I took a long time to get into smartphones. Got my first one in 2013.

Nexus 4
Upgraded to the Nexus 5 a year later and used that thing until it was slow as hell and had to be charged 3 times a day
Went to the OnePlus 5T which I loved
Work got me an iPhone 11. I didn't like it quite as much as the 5T, but it was nice having dual SIM and the iPhone worked better with the Apple ecosystem.
Upgraded to my own iPhone 13 Pro Max which I loved and which still feels new to me even a year later when I've upgraded to the:
14 Pro Max

I have to hand it to Apple with the 13 Pro Max. It's insane that you can use a phone for a whole year and it still feels new and fresh, looks brand new, performs as new.

2 BLU phones (Advance L2 and Advance 5.0, was for travel/backups)

Google Pixel 3a (current backup phone)
Daily driver: Samsung Galaxy A53 5G.

You had the iPhone SE 3 for a very short time. Did not care for it?

In the pre-Smartphone time I actually did not change phones that often. Ever since my first iPhone I tried the different mobile OS and ultimately ended up with iOS.

Pre-Smartphone (starting around 2003):
  1. Siemens C25 (old-school Black&White with monotone ringtones but basically indestructible)
  2. Samsung SGH-E700 (loved the Design, but pictures were seriously bad even for the time)
  3. Sony Ericsson W580i (loved the media player and the fact that you could just pop in an 8 GB memory stick which was plenty at that time)
Since 2009:
  1. iPhone 3G S
  2. iPhone 5
  3. Nokia Lumia 925
  4. HTC One
  5. iPhone 5S
  6. Lumia 930
  7. Microsoft Lumia 950
  8. iPhone 6S
  9. iPhone 7
  10. iPhone XS
  11. iPhone 12 Mini (planned to be replaced by the iPhone 14 Pro, which was just to big, heavy and unwieldy for me and therefore returned)
The 12 Mini will be replaced by an iPhone 13 Mini some time and then has to last as long as possible (or until Apple releases a new small phone with FaceID).

Too many to list.

I have used almost all the non-smartphones and pre-android era smartphone (with the likes of symbian OS, Windows mobile OS) (Nokia, Ericsson, Sony, Sony Ericsson, Panasonic, Samsung, LG, Siemens HTC, etc) from 2000s.

Even used iphone 3gs, 4, 5, 6, 7 before going to fully android. Came back to iphone from 13 onwards.

Highlights include Nokia 3330 (my first WAP phone) Nokia N95 8gb Samsung D500/D600 Sony Ericsson k800i

Then jumped to O2 UK which at the time was the only carrier to offer iPhone at the time in the UK

Loved it, still have/use it a lot actually. Excellent little phone but I picked up a 13 pro mainly for battery life, hubby & I play a lot of pokemon & the SE3 just wasn't handling it too well. Outside of pokemon marathons the battery was pretty decent.

LG voyager aka the first iPhone killer. Came out a few months after the first iPhone. It was $200 bucks with a contract. I wanted the iPhone but at the time I didn't know anything about cell phone contracts and thought you had to pay $500 dollars for it. Had no idea you could get one for $200 with a contract. Two weeks after getting the LG my brother in law told me I could of got the iPhone for the same price. Then I had to wait 2 years to get my first iPhone.

iPhone 4 black-was my first iPhone and one of my favorite iPhones. The design at the time was perfect.
iPhone 5 white
iPhone 6 black
iPhone 7 black
iPhone X black
iPhone 12 pro black

coming soon iPhone 14 pro max in purple- comes around October 17th
starting to regret getting purple and should of got space black. Oh well, I use a case anyway so I guess it doesn't matter too much.

Wow. Seems like soon as you got a smartphone, you settled in. What caused the change (age, time, desire/need, etc...)? How long are you trying to hold out on the XR. I'm still failing with not upgrading yearly even though I said I wouldn't upgraded my 13PM.

Good question. I think to be honest the price was the thing that stopped me buying so many phones once I became an iPhone fan!

That said I miss the sheer variety of shapes sizes and colours of phones from back in that era. It was exciting that you never knew what the next Nokia phone would look like!

I hope to keep my XR until the iPhone 15, then maybe the 13 will drop to a reasonable price and I could upgrade to that!

If we're going strictly with smartphones, then:

BlackBerry Bold 9700
HTC Incredible
HTC Evo 4G
Samsung Nexus S 4G
Galaxy Nexus
Samsung Galaxy S4
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
iPhone 6S Plus
iPhone 8 Plus
iPhone XS Max
iPhone 12 Pro Max
iPhone 13 Pro Max
iPhone 13 Mini

Prior to getting the original iPhone, I was mostly a BlackBerry user (all the QWERTY ones, with the last one being a Bold). But prior to BlackBerrys, I used Palm Treos and even had a Motorola MPX-200 as my first smartphone.
