What will they call the next Generation iPhone

Any reason why it can't be called the iPhone? Jobs can refer to it as the "new iPhone" in the keynote and, from then on, everybody can refer to as the 2010 iPhone, just like the "early 2009" MBPs ..etc.

SS still would have war sentiment. Unlikely many would get the joke of Apple adding ++ to the 3GS to give iPhone 3GS++

Saying iPhone presumably defaults to the most current one in general parlance at some point anyhow.

It's not all rumours. It will come out and be unveiled at WWDC in late june/early july whenever it is this year. I've been waiting since January...almost 1 month down. Few more to go!

It's up to you really. The 3GS is a great phone but this phone will undoubtedly be better, maybe even a lot better for all we know. If you need it then get it now, if you can wait then definitely wait. Time will flyyyyy.

And yeah I'm pretty sure it will release around then as well.

iPhone HD sounded the most likely to me until I remembered one thing.

Since 4G won't be out yet, I'd doubt that would be the name.

The technology is finalised though, so there's no reason technology can't be built with 4G capabilities even if it's not widespread yet. Samsung have released a netbook with 4G capabilities (haha iPad!)
