I used to have a P910. It was brilliant but I had got it through vodafone and they had modified the firmware to include there branding absolutely everywhere. No matter what I did, I couldn't get rid of it, I am so glad days of them doing that are gone.

Original in 2007. Saved up during the summer between high school and college to get it, ended up getting a clearance 4GB model right after they discontinued them. Used it as my phone for over three years. Still have it, still works great

I was lucky enough to have AT&T back then and started with the original and haven't missed a main model to this point.

I switched from Verizon to at&t specifically to get that first iPhone. Been with them ever since.

I’m from Australia, but travelled to the USA in 2007. I purchased the original iPhone directly from an Apple store in Denver. I then had to wait a couple of weeks since I didn’t have a computer with me. A friend caught up with me while I was staying at the Disneyland Hotel. I used his laptop to install iOS 1.1.1 and then went down to the Disneyland Hotel foyer and used the wifi to jailbreak it. Jailbreaking was the only way to get the original iPhone to work in Australia. I’ve purchased an iPhone every year except for the 5s.
I was a Palm fan before iPhone and had a Treo 650.

2011. Started with the gateway drug known as the iPod touch.

2014 with the introduction of the 6 Plus.

iPhones were nice prior to then, but the screens were too small to me. I also hated AT&T and was never going to be locked to them.

2014 was the year of bigger iPhones + carrier freedom. That’s when the switch made sense to me.

I had been waiting too. My iPad and iPod Touch had me anxiously waiting.

Original iPhone on launch day for me! I remember them dropping the price shortly after launch and giving store credit for the difference!

Bought the original iPhone in Thailand on the grey market. It was unlocked and jailbroken and the price was something like $1,200 for 8 GB.
