Electric blankets are perfectly safe as long as they are used correctly.
Usually they are put on before you get into the bed to warm it up before you get into the bed. They don’t stay on all night.
It’s a similar principle to heated car seats. Cheaper and more efficient to heat the person than to heat the room.

It will set pretty chilly in winter in our house. We keep the heating low when it eventually goes on.

But...part of me resists. One factor I wonder and worry about are the possible health impacts of electric blankets. I wonder if EMF could be a problem...
I grew being told in no uncertain terms never to drink water from the hot tap, chopper push bikes were lethal (that tiny front wheel) and that no matter how cosy it might seem an electric blanket will inevitably burst into flames at some point while you're sleeping under it...

What time to leave in the morning for a 7:15 flight is on my mind.
45 minutes to an hour for the drive there.
15 minutes to park and walk to the terminal.
Probably leave around 4:30 latest. Not a good way to start a work trip.
I’ll be back Monday.

I hear you, work travel can be a PIA - take care and safe trip.

Boss once wanted me to --
  • Fly to Broken Hill (arrive at 12:15 pm)
  • Do a 3 hour install
  • Fly back at 1:30 pm
because he didn't want to pay for me to stay overnight at a hotel.
After some discussion, common sense prevailed.
I hope you asked for a PERT chart showing all the dependencies and timeline.
Or at least a number line.

Just became exclusive with the girl I've been seeing over the last few months. It was a little tumultuous as the start, but it's already proving to be the most rewarding relationship I've ever had. She is really special.

I have planned a little up-island get away for us next week to a place she her father used to take her camping as a kid. She used to go up with babybottle pops and listen to her nsync CD, so I've got a couple of her favorite flavours and all of her favorite NSYNC songs set in a Spotify playlist. I'm taking her to the EXACT spot (C32) that she used to stay in as a kid with her father and brother. Can't wait to see her face.

I’ve never really understood the exclusive not exclusive thing. When I was dating last century things were very different. So glad I’m not now. I have no idea about the etiquette.

Anyway enjoy your trip.

I hate modern dating. It sucks in every way, consider yourself lucky.

And thank you!

Never been in a relationship, so never been dating. At this point that's lowest on my list of priorities.
I wouldn't recommend it. It's a lot of work and compromise. When I met Angelle, I wasn't even dating.. no tinder, no bumble, hinge, nothing. I was just working on myself, but as we started talking I fell almost instantly. I think that's the best way to do it.

My day started at 2 am. Alarm was due to go off at 3:45 am, but I was awake and that was that.
Flew to Paris (over an hours delay).
Then spent the afternoon setting up for a trade show.
Didn’t finish until 7:30 pm.

Nightmare checking the three of us into the hotel. Took 20 minutes (don’t ask).

Then ate at a lovely French restaurant not far from the Louvre.
Then a walk along the river before heading home. Just climbed into my hotel bed. 6 will be here soon enough.

What's on my mind is that I'm 21 years old as of Tuesday. Is this my last milestone birthday? I guess I still have 25 when my brain is fully developed and I can rent a car. 🤔
I hate it break it to you but...joke well as far as you and @rm5 are concerned just from what I can see you two have more developed brains than folks who are decades older! Happy birthday!!

Takes this FWIW, just an old man chiming in! 🤣

Just be careful, you don't want to be her dad and your new shared experiences are what you should build on.

But then again as Mr @Apple fanboy said, "When I was dating last century things were very different" so who knows!

Good luck. 🙂

Sounds as though you had a busy (but exceedingly pleasant) time.

A lovely French restaurant?

Does it get much better than that?

Anyway, enjoy what you can and take care.

There will be various milestone birthdays ahead; but not all of them will be as much fun as when you turn 21.

Meanwhile, happy birthday and enjoy this one!

Well tonight was a smaller group. Just two of us. So we headed to a lovely Italian near the hotel.
Had a beautiful pizza and salad with a pint of beer.
Feeling quite proud of myself that I resisted the urge to have 2 more. I’ll feel all the better for it in the morning.

Tomorrow will be another busy day. Sales were good today. But plenty of WiFi issues and other IT problems. Hopefully better tomorrow.

Time to sleep.
