I rather like darkness. It's the perfect milieu for hatching vain empires.

Now that I'm retired, I've decided I could use a few more hobbies. Of course, I'll start with a tabletop vain empire, or maybe a basement vain empire, and work my way up.

On my mind is why do they insist on such a large piece of surgical tape after a blood test? Pulling it off hurts 100x more than the needle.

Probably my wookie like coverings don’t help.
That reminds me of when I got a heart stamina test and they taped these monitors on my chest and back without properly shaving the spots they attached to first. The first one yanked off was a surprise. By the fourth, I was ready to attack.

Just had some blood tests. The covering was a ball of cotton wool and two (2) strips of masking tape. Removing the masking tape gave me a bigger bruise than the test. What's wrong with a little circular band-aid?

Totally unrelated, but we had a SPECTACULAR event tonight with all the big bands and the swing dance club. We were all sight-reading stuff. It was super casual though and mistakes were encouraged. We sounded surprisingly good though! It turned into a whole Salsa dancing thing by the end of the night, and almost the whole second half was just jamming on two chords (I played a lot of piano montunos). It’s a once-a-term event, so I look forward to the next one which I believe is in February.
