What the hell! One of the reasons why I haven't ordered off Amazon in years I guess... is because they apparently ship you empty envelopes. Anyway, hope you get a replacement soon!
We must just have good Amazon in our area. Sometimes stuff can come Sunday if we order later Saturday. And don't think anything was ever wrong. Back a bit it used to be delayed sometimes, but I don't think that's happened in a year or more.

Usually when I order from Amazon on one day I indeed get it the next day, even if that next day is a Sunday.... I really like that, even though most of the time it really doesn't matter if I get the item(s) a couple of days after the order was placed. A couple of times I have ordered something fairly early in the day and received the item later the same day -- wow! In one case I specifically wanted and needed the item immediately so that worked out quite nicely.

Ray Stevenson who played Titus Pullo in HBO’s Rome has died.

I’ll remember him with this: Titus has died, but the XIII legion will live forever!

OMG! That's a shock...

He was stellar in that series. Having already watched it a couple of times a few months ago there was so little on I just started rewatching the first episode to kill half an hour - big mistake, I ended up having to binge the rest of it (again!) - mainly due to his character! They be raising glasses to him in the Mithraem tonight.

That was one of if not the best historical series ever filmed - certainly my favourite along with the French Revolution series. This is in my top ten in fact. Big part was the acting and Ray Stevenson was certainly up there. Damn he was only 58 too.

Agreed. It’s what ignited my newly renewed interest in Roman history a few years ago.

We don't have the Amazon same day here, but Best Buy and Apple have the choice.

I wonder why my voice fluctuates so much. I was trying to sing some bass notes along with the track I'm working on, and I noticed I was having a hard time getting to the real low ones. I have a deep voice, and just an hour or so ago, I was able to sing a low D, and now, I can only get down to a low F. I wonder if it has to do with my posture or something else? Hmmm...

On my mind: the opening of our community swimming pool this weekend, and although from the weather reports it probably will be a little too cool to actually get into the water for a swim, I may very well wander over there tomorrow anyway for opening day, greet neighbors who are also there, stick my toes in the water and bask in the sunshine....

The neighborhood we just moved to is so quiet and peaceful. My wife and I just had breakfast out on the patio; we never would have done that where we lived previously. Not that it wasnt nice, it just wasnt this peaceful. I am sitting out here now, just enjoying the birds singing, the occasional plane overhead, and just at peace. This is what I needed.

Our village is very peaceful. Maybe 50 homes all spread out. We have a lot of birds here too. I don’t miss a larger town at all.

A trip away at the start of June. Just a couple of days with friends, but it should be a nice break from Work at least.

Should be. Walking in the day with long lunches and numerous stops for tea and coffee generally. Whilst catching up with my two oldest friends who I’ve known since I was a teenager a lifetime ago.
That sounds wonderful and something to look forward to.
