The neighborhood we just moved to is so quiet and peaceful. My wife and I just had breakfast out on the patio; we never would have done that where we lived previously. Not that it wasnt nice, it just wasnt this peaceful. I am sitting out here now, just enjoying the birds singing, the occasional plane overhead, and just at peace. This is what I needed.
It's really nice when one has a home in a peaceful setting.... In the warm weather months I enjoy sitting out on my deck overlooking a small lake (well, actually it is a pond but we call it a lake), and watching the geese and ducks on the water and listening to other birds chirping and singing as they fly around and perch in the many trees. Sometimes I have my evening meal out there, too, as I do occasionally enjoy dining al fresco.

I wonder if I can/should start teaching lessons at Guitar Center—that would be fun if I could do that one of these days. I should look to see if they have any open teaching positions.

If music is your passion, pursue any avenue to continue. Same with any talent/passion.

I have taught all my kids and my godchildren, do what you love and you will enjoy a long and happy career.

Well, there happened to be an open position, so I submitted an application. It'd be great if I got the job (or even just an interview), but also it's really no big deal if I don't—it's just something to keep me a little busier! I think the competition could be fairly intense though. The only reason I say that is because the needed qualifications aren't super crazy (which sort of surprises me for a teaching position), so I'd imagine there could be many people applying.

So, we'll see where this goes, and like I said—great if I get it, but no big deal if not.

As @RokinAmerica says, if music is your passion, pursue any avenue to fulfil this passion.

However, I will point out that teaching and studying - and I must say that I loved both - are quite different from one another.

Errands (and bills, books and beer) have all been on my mind.

Phoned the French bakery to ask them to put aside bread on Saturday, and phoned the best stall in the farmers' market - green fingered Germans - to ask them to put aside a few boxes of their free range, organic, eggs (which will have been collected that very morning) for me.

Now that we have beautiful warm weather which I have been praying for since February I remember other flying creatures also waited for this. Very annoying when on my bike even a manual one, bugs manage to get behind my glasses and I see why some riders wear masks.

You have my complete sympathy.

I, also, wear glasses, and yes, sporting a pair of spectacles does bring its own challenges.

I was just wondering if anyone else had these periods of inactivity like where they’d unintentionally lurk on whatever forum you’re a part of? Because I’m going through one of those periods at the moment

I had that happen last summer, for about a week on MacRumors. For some reason, I'd just completely lost interest in the forum, and then it just came back a week later. Weird, I know...

Doesn’t help procrastination hits at the same time 🤣

Yes, as others have already pointed out, that can happen quite often, for a variety of reasons, some personal, some professional.

Glorious day, and quite lovely to have such weather in late May and early June.

Had - and thoroughly enjoyed - a coffee in (or rather, at a pavement table just outside), along with some sparkling mineral water, in one of my favourite coffee shops which happens to be the French bakery, where I paid, in advance, for the bread I have requested that they put aside for me tomorrow.

Visited the library, to return books and pick up several that awaited me.

I will admit that my level of interest for WWDC is sub zero.

Even when they will be announcing products which may not be of interest to me I always watch the keynote speeches anyway, so I'll be doing the same this coming Monday. Definitely could not care less about the AR goggles or whatever they will be called, and at this point not in the market for a new computer or iPad. Still it's fun to watch and listen to the presentations anyway.

As is mine, truth to tell.

Now, once upon a distant time......

Nevertheless, I well recall my awed gasp of amazed (and avaricious) delight when the late Mr Jobs unveiled the original MBA, drawing it slowly out from an A4 envelope.

This is who I want to become when I grow up. Kittens are THE ultimate test.

So, this morning I was thinking about this video. Why? Well…… I must’ve left the door ajar while I was peeing, and my youngest feline, a black ultra-hyperactive feline kitten decided to run inside and jump right in the path of the urinary stream. The result? At 6:15 am I had to chase a running kitten throughout the house in order to clean her from my own pee. I swear, I had many many cats but I’ve never had such a crazy one. I captured her using food bait.

The story is hilarious, and the video charming, lovely, and quite utterly captivating.
