Why download Mouse Jiggler when you can just open a new email and place your stapler on the space bar?

In a coffee shop.
Missing my mother while I was in the farmers' market today.

There was a time we used to head in there together (quite a few years ago, admittedly), and she enjoyed admiring the plants, and tucking greedily into grilled sausages.

In a coffee shop.
Excellent first match.
Finally France back; well until the next game that is.

Snacks? Saucisson, mais oui!
Orchard Pig Truffler Cider.

Not wanting to spoil dinner, it'll be the same for the next game. :)

Saucisson, excellent, do enjoy.

Orchard Pig Truffler Cider sounds intriguing; I assume that it would not be served in your chateau if it did not meet certain rather exacting standards.

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about cider to know which ciders are good, and which are better, whereas re wine and beer I can trust my judgment and call on my knowledge to guide me.

I had to look that up. People still use screensavers?

I imagine screensavers are extremely common. But we’re also talking about self locking features. Mouse Jiggler’s purpose is to appear ever present to the network while “working” from home.

I thought you could configure a PC to use a keep alive line on TCP?

Not if you don’t have admin rights or the ability to circumvent remote network security.

I have two Swinglines. They cut to the chase. Lol.

And that is?
I’m a senior Manager at a European distributor. My responsibilities include purchasing, product management, logistics and training. Plus various projects.
I’m just about to take a week off when I’ll actually be away and not working from home for 4 days. But I’ll certainly be putting the hours in before I go.

Ah. For some reason I had it made up in my mind that you did something completely different and then realized a week or two ago that you never said anything. I'm going to guess it's a fairly well known distributor that starts with the letter M.

M? Nope. It’s not very well known outside of our field. Quite specialist. Now I’m interested to know who you thought it was?
Microsoft? ;)

Maersk.

I know or rather knew someone from your side of the pond who does or did similar work to yours but was focused on some different sector and it was a multi-country handoff position.

We are nowhere near that big. Employ around 50 people. We have three sites though in the UK, Germany and Poland.

The hunt shall continue.

For some reason I used to think you were a land photographer for the home office a long, long time ago.

I have an interview coming on Wednesday at work, it’s going to be for a new department (pretty much an internal transfer) and I’m nervous as ever. Any tips? Is there a difference interviewing when you already work for the company than it is if you were an outsider?

In a coffee shop.

Yes, death is pretty final, and - when the death in question involves someone who is close to you, irrespective of how well prepared you think you are, or how much anticipatory grieving you may have done, the uncompromising fact of it, the sheer finality of it will still come as a massive shock.

Yup. Pretending to work won’t get my work done. If I don’t do my work, nobody does it for me.

Rather, nobody does it better.

My photography is strictly a hobby. Just back from a walk in the woods with my camera. A few birds and like in the morning light.
I’ve only been doing it about 5-6 years.

But a most rewarding hobby.

Yes, of course, there is.

For one thing, they will expect you to know about the company in the way an outsider doesn't and cannot.

This means that you may need to make sure that you are well prepared, and can answer questions on the job you wish to leave, (what did you like about it? what did you not like about it? What are you most proud of that you achieved while there? What do you think you could have done better? How would you improve it? Did you feel able make those suggestions to your superiors, and why not? Why do you wish to leave it?) as well thinking about as the position you are applying for: Why are you applying for this? Why do you think you are good fit? What can you bring to this? And so on.

Make sure you know about the company overall and be prepared to answer questions about it - its "vision" or strategy, or what it is trying to achieve or do, or what its function is; what challenges it may it face; competitors; its future.

Good luck.
