I am beyond pissed with Avid... maybe I've already explained this, but why not again. I bought a PERPETUAL LICENSE of Sibelius (a scorewriter) in 2020. I was NEVER told that my "support plan" expiring would make it impossible to use the software. Now, when I launch it, since my support plan has expired, they're making me pay $100 to reactivate it.
But I thought this was a perpetual license, no? WELL CLEARLY IT ISN'T! Also, it's been four years... how does that align with the one year they state?
Where on this page does it mention that when the plan expires, you can't use the software? It doesn't. So Avid is literally hiding a $100 fee you have to pay every few years, even though you bought a prepaid license.
