This past week has really been a bad one all the way around, hasn't it?

I'd never heard of Michele Trachtenberg (I'm not a big TV watcher). It's sad but not surprising that she probably succumbed to issues surrounding her recent organ transplant.

Certainly through the past many years I have been very familiar with both Gene Hackman and Roberta Flack. Her vocals were always part of the "soundtrack of my life", leaving us a wonderful vocal legacy, and Gene Hackman -- the man was such a versatile, incredibly adept actor, and he leaves a really remarkable legacy in film for everyone to experience and enjoy for many years to come.

So far no further information with regard to the circumstances and causes of Gene's death, as well as that of his wife, and yes, one of their three dogs..... Lots of speculation, as usual, around this situation, and while some of it makes sense, I'm waiting for more definitive answers forthcoming after forensic testing and such. In any event, the extended Hackman family has definitely experienced a stunning and very sad loss.

It's been more than a bad week. I'd hate to live around DC these days. I can't say more.

All I can say is that.....it has been and continues to be distressing in any number of ways. The impact on this area has been -- well, stunning, for want of a better word.

All I will say is that there should have been a wake up call years ago. 😶
