Just checked my buddies launch day 6s and it’s at 85%. He didn’t even know battery health was a thing on iOS 11.3. Kind of cool, because he doesn’t babysit his phone and actually uses it. He’s going to get a new phone in the fall and I may try to buy his old 6s for my kid.

iPhone 6 (1389 cycles)
Bought: 2015
Health: 82% (iOS reports 87%)

I think I am doing pretty good :)

SE bought new a year ago in September 2017: 91%. It was 94% the other day.

This week I had run it down to flat twice while travelling and charging was not available. The battery must not like that.

A few posts back, I said I had 96% health with 228 cycles. I am at 91% with 269. Two days ago I had 94%. I'd ignore it, as it fluctuates too much.

I have 700 with 85% on a 5c and I thought that was good... Yours is amazing!

iPhone 8 Plus:

I have different apps tell me different things.

According to system settings: battery my wear level is 99% and I’ve had it less than a week. Is that normal?

According to Battery Testing my capacity is 2191mAh (should be 2675). According to Battery Life app it’s 2675 (100%) and same for Battery Life Doctor and same for Battery Percentage app.
No idea what battery testing is reading. Im also getting 2191mAh.... I then used Coconubattery and its reading correctly for me. Full is 2726mAH and right now its at 81% which is 2282mAh which is about right. Some what new iphone 8 plus from July.

I bought an iphone 8 plus 7 days ago and now battery capacity is showing 99%...
I charged it once every night and the lowest percentage the battery as gone was 19%.
Is this a reason to be worried, should i go trade the phone saying its defective?

No reason to be worried. The reading is an estimate and can and sometimes does fluctuate a bit. It's also not really a linear progression, so the timing between percentages can and often does differ.

I had my 7+ battery replaced at an Apple Store y’day (my capacity was 83%, and I figured I’d take advantage of the 2018 price). It took two hours on a relatively quiet Monday afternoon (30 mins. longer than estimated), and somehow they put a scratch in my screen. I’m glad to have the new battery, but just a little caveat on the process...

I bought a used iPhone 5s, expecting the Battery will be dead. When I got it, I plugged it in, to have a look at battery capacity.
The Result is pretty impressive. I wish the newer iPhone batteries would last as long.
Sadly my experience from the 6 series to iPhone X is, that the batteries are faulty after 1-2 years of heavy use (500cycles).

Oddly, I found the same. A family member has an iPhone 6s on iOS 10. In two years, the phone has 670 cycles with... 54.5% health. I only measured it once, so I'm unsure if that's a correct reading, or if the battery health is really 54.5%. Next time I'll take another measurement. Also, I have no idea about that device's battery life.
On the other hand, my 5c has 85% health after 720 cycles.
So, my experience is absolutely minimal (only one case), but when I read the 6s's result I was unpleasantly surprised.
My own 6s on iOS 9 has 93% health, but with only 270 cycles.

iPhone SE bought in October of 2016

battery health 100%

(Ok, battery is fresh from the Genius Bar, the old battery was at 91% before replacement but felt way worse after more than 2 years of daily (ab)use)

The thing is, my dads iPhone 6s is 3 months old and the battery health is at 100% still. I called apple and they said that it’s normal to drop from 100% to 99% after a few charges but if that’s the case why is my dads iPhone still at 100% ?

It essentially goes back to what I mentioned in my comment.
