iPhone 8 Plus:

I have different apps tell me different things.

According to system settings: battery my wear level is 99% and I’ve had it less than a week. Is that normal?

According to Battery Testing my capacity is 2191mAh (should be 2675). According to Battery Life app it’s 2675 (100%) and same for Battery Life Doctor and same for Battery Percentage app.

Only the iOS settings & coconut battery, to some extent, can show the correct estimation.

7 plus 90% capacity
6s plus 100% " new battery"
SE 96%

Just for the context. I’m on iPhone 8 Plus right now and been travelling over the weekend so needed to check a lot of google maps. Battery health is still at 100% and this is where I am right now.

The 100% capacity doesn’t make sense after 1-2 months of use. My 12/17 8+ still shows 100, as does my wife’s launch X. That is just NOT possible. No lithium ion battery can remain at 100% for over 6 months, but here we are.

It may have reduced by some points but less than a whole percentage. Apple chose to not show the decimals I guess.

Either that or the reading is not linear. The first half of the tank on my car takes much longer to empty than the last half. I wonder if once we hit 99 or 98% it’ll start dropping a lot faster.

My launch day X is already down to 95%, I am not liking this trend. It has taken just 2 months or less for it to come down from 100 - 95 % capacity. The battery life on a single charge is also noticably lower than earlier, and I dont abuse the battery with overheating or running it down to zero as I top it up often.

Wondering how accurate the beta battery monitor is as I still have 94% after my last post 2 months ago. Also, originally said I had 94% and has never varied. I'm taking this info with a grain or two if sodium. YMMV
