WhatsApp Beta updated for 6 & 6 Plus Screen Sizes

It's 4pm here (GMT +8) and 1am PDT. Still no sign of WhatsApp being updated.

Have to wait till tonight here or in morning in the US?

Yeah, I'm from SG and saw you in the HWZ Forums too. I think only tonight till 8am will tell if WhatsApp is going to get updated.
 
I've stopped worrying about the whatsapp update now. Hopefully all this messing about will only hurt themselves.

I decided to download telegram after I saw a few people on here talking about it. I was quite surprised by the number of people in my contacts that are already using it.

Still not a replacement for whatsapp in that sense, but the app seems to be better then whatsapp in every other way. I particularly like the fact that you can also set a username so that you don't have to give your number to everyone.
 
I mean WhatsApp update policy sucks, but what is even worse is that they can't even be bothered to release a statement or post a tweet or something telling us what's up.
Why can't you just update your users on your progress? You are not apple.

Because they are using iOS 6 screenshots in the App Store :cool:

I can see the iOS 7 screenshots in the Australian App Store, but their website still shows the iOS 6 screenshots.

That's what we have been discussing for 3 weeks now in this tread. Nobody knows.
There is some indication that the update is going to be released within the next few days but nobody knows for sure as similar indications turned out to be wrong earlier.

Cant understand what is so hard to just push the freaking update across
 
WhatsApp is really starting to fall behind.
They haven't had a feature rich update in a while. There are better apps out there now but fortunately for WhatsApp, people are pretty hooked on it still.

I'm very surprised that they haven't come up with a computer based app either. For example, GroupMe has a phone app and browser access. So when you're on the computer you don't have to keep grabbing your phone.

iMessage was the same way, at least for Mac users.
WhatsApp still has those same boring green message bubbles from a few years back. They need a refresh.

I hope they surprise all of us and include lots of new features and an updated UI in the coming update. If the update is just for iPhone 6/6 Plus support I will be disappointed. I hope the betas are wrong :p

Whatspp updated for iPhone 5 on 16 Nov, 2012, and for iOS 7 on 2 Dec, 2013. From the history, I have expected the update for iPhone 6 would only come in November. I don't know if the update for iPhone 6 is more complicated than that for iPhone 5.If yes, it may come even later. :mad:

unbelievable

I still cannot believe how long it has taken Whatsapp to update its app. Every other app has been updated and for a $19 billion app to be so unresponsive with its customers and to take so long to update to me is crazy.
I don't know about you but it seems that update is not coming anytime soon!. Just look how long it took to update to Iphone 5 and then to IOS 7.
