Mine was in waiting for a full minute until it started loading and it worked!!!

took 5 minutes for me but now its working
does it say you're not connected with iCloud and wants you to enable iCloud drive? having the same.
None of the betas have played nice with iCloud restore. If you went back a page you'd see the list of bugs.
worked with beta 2. However, I need my chats so I won't upgrade until its fixed in any way!

Ive been following this thread with equal parts interest and frustration about the delay in release of the update. Also I learned about Telegram so thanks for whoever mentioned it first, last, whatever. Fact is I've downloaded it and it's so much better. I have a little gripe with the way it displays the "last seen online" time but here's the thing, I dropped them a message and someone actually responded in a couple of hours within the app asking for more info. I supplied more info and they were grateful for feedback and said my suggestion would be considered. Even if it isn't, I don't care! Point is they have support that answers!
Second point I have about Whatsapp. Search on Google for whatsapp delays for iPhone 6 and + and there are a lot of German site results. I translated the site using Google and it states something about some European legislation issues due to the new VOIP (voice and video) having built in recording capabilities which is illegal in Germany, a lot of Europe, and I believe also in the USA. This may be a pretty good reason to hold back an update. Just my useless 5c worth. If this is the case however, don't hold your breath waiting! Happy days!. Switch to Telegram!

I doubt thats the issue as VOIP isnt included in the latest beta as far as I can tell, also those news articles (I just looked them up) are a couple of weeks old so even if that was the issue, it should be fixed by now.
I definitely agree with switching to telegram. I everybody did it would be amazing.

Telegram is a far more superior and more efficient app than WhatsApp and even has multi-platform support, inc. the Mac. The only problem Telegram have is trying to convince other users to ditch WhatsApp and use them. WhatsApp have such a large user base that it's difficult to persuade others to use Telegram. I just hope WhatsApp starts crumbling away and Telegram gets the attention and user base it deserves. I can't be dealing with a company that's supposedly worth a ridiculous $19bn yet won't value their customers at even 1 cent nor at least update their users as to their development progress.
I think it's down to us to persuade our friends and family to get into the habit of using Telegram. Hopefully that will slowly kick WhatsApp in the nuts.
I would inform the WhatsApp team or local iTunes support about the outdated screenshots on the app description, I'm pretty sure they're not aware of it. Should be a super-quick fix on their side.

Multi device - awesome. Just loaded it on Windows. Instant sync (continuity?). Better than Skype chat. Ability to terminate all other sessions remotely. Username search. I believe it has full res photo transfer although not tested yet.

I'm ok cos I dont have a huge chat list and I found it easy to covert others to Telegram. The developers just need to get out there and promote themselves better.

Don't change no date/time. Just go to www.pgyer.com/WhatsAppBeta , then click the green install button. Then go to homescreen, see app install, tap on icon, then tap Trust.
