WhatsApp Beta updated for 6 & 6 Plus Screen Sizes

It's clearly not. The official account is @WhatsApp which has 2 million followers. Their last tweet was 7 months ago. Why am I not surprised.

I use www.pgyer.com/WhatsAppBeta click the green button, press install but nothing happened.
Any help?thanks
 
I think you need to uninstall your existing app prior to installing beta app. You will lose chat backup.
 
Ok. So let's take a quick look around the iOSphere. Other major apps like Waze, LinkedIn, Tripadvisor, Soundcloud to name but a few, have all just very recently updated their apps and Soundcloud even stated improvements for iOS 8 and iPhone 6 and they all still have the old clunky keyboard. Is this really what we are complaining about? I get it, it's annoying and feels stupid to type on but are we really missing out on any other functionality?

When on earth is it coming out. It amazes me how it's one of the biggest apps in the entire world and it can take them so long to update the software on something that is relatively a piece of piss fix!

This is something shows your developers capacity. Luckily its acquired by FB otherwise you may take years to release version.

Beta installes over it, no need to remove the old version.

My conversations are all there

Nice.
First time I deleted the app store version.

Now I just install over it and everything is fine so far
 
I can't get on the site to install the beta? It takes forever to load and then gives me a 404 error? Any ideas?

It's not just about the update. It's also the abysmal customer service and the fact that they just don't care about users.

Yes, in a way you are correct, some others also haven't updated their apps, but:
-most have
-it's particularly important for a messaging app because of the keyboard size.
-there is absolutely no communication

That said, spotify haven't updated their app either. But they also haven't updated their iPad app in like a year so spotify and WhatsApp, my two most used 3rd party apps both have the worst imaginable update policy, a real let down.
 
Errrr... An untrusted application that could have been modified by China ?? No one has raised an alarm about this yet?

Nobody in their right mind would even consider installing this.
I didn’t even bother to point this out because it is so obvious.
Also, backups won’t work so you will probably loose all the messages from the point of installing to the point where you install the official version.
 
Please, someone let me know what I'm doing wrong. My original appstore WhatsApp is installed, as some of you said it could be... Then I access the web and simply click the green button to download, it asks me to install, I give permission, and nothing happens! No download, nothing, and with the app unistalled the same happens... What am I doing wrong?

I'm also interested in knowing how they bypassed the security wall introduced in 8.1
that was supposed to kill this date trick, they took what, a week?

It doesn't even require changing the date anymore..

After typing that, I realise I answered my own question, so they're not using the date trick.
They stripped the certificate requirement and publish it using the 'enterprise app deployment' method?
 
Wow, lots of apps got updated today with either iphone6/6+ support or new features! Oh..not surprisingly WhatsApp is probably the ONLY app on my phone still not updated. Screw you whatsapp:mad:
 
BTW, all other apps are installed well through pgyre, except WhatsApp! What is going on with my phone...?! :mad:

When the beta was in multitasking the notifications worked. When closed the app from multitask the notifications didnt workd. I fixed this with hard reset and reseting notif settings from the app.
