Personally i feel WhatsApp is deliberately delayed cos of rivalry from iMessage. Apple wants iPhone users to use their native app more. I feel its a marketing ploy. Apps which hardly anyone use such as Telegram have been LONG updated for iPhone 6 and Plus. Might probably take another month i guess. Hope i'm wrong though....

Usage in Settings shows highest of any other app and considerably more than second placed Facebook.
I think it's an apple only thing. Only the official messages app can use quick reply
Starting to feel the same. Such a bummer that they're limiting that to their own messaging app, if that's really what they're doing.
Quick reply was one of the main things I was looking forward to with iOS 8, limiting it to the messages app is such a disappointment.
I'm still hoping that they open this up to 3rd parties in the future.

I'm sure some of the promo for this new feature showed replying to twitter and facebook comments as well, tho. Hopefully this is something that will be rolled out to 3rd parties sooner rather than later

The last 2-3 pages are just full of useless comments like: "taking ages", "still no update", "Omg..... It's taking sooo long", "Waiting for the official release.", Still waiting"....
Out of all the developers I've seen, WhatsApp has consistently been the WORST in releasing updates and bug fixes. They're the highest grossing app on the App Store and were bought for $19bn. You'd honestly never think it.
For that price, I'd expect an update at least twice a day with a personal phone call to let me know it's out.
