iPad Pro When are new iPad Pros being announced?

Guess I will wait for Costco to stock it as they usually have a c.5% discount on iPads.well if its not march 26th then what date in april are we thinking? middle or end of the month 😬
If Apple had not announced the updated MacBook Air… do you think we would be 20 pages in on this thread, or would it even exist yet? 😂
Tbf, it’s not necessarily about the MBA… but the fact no iPads were announced last year.
And given Apple product release history, iPad Pros are due for a refresh during the 1st to 2nd quarter.
I think if that Macrumors post about 'new stuff being released this week' (obviously relating to the MBA), I would have just been naively waiting for the actual release, so yes, no MBA announcement, no hype from me.

Yeah Agreed, i did not buy the Magic Keyboard when they released it but now i do i do not want to use my ipad without it.

Apple Stores are closing earlier in Japan on March 25th and speculating if the new iPads are coming on that day...
given the time difference, it doesn't make sense. apples never dropped and released an iPad same day. pre orders would have had to of been this week or something.
Closing early so they can update the store demo's, banners, etc. And then a release on 26th.

they only change banners and demos on the day the device is publicly available for purchase. so still highly doubtful. I doubt they do a press release Monday and then start selling Tuesday with no hands on videos or any of that for the press
I just want it to be the 26th so that Mark is wrong. He comes off as smug at times and rubs me the wrong way.
I want it to be 25th or 26th too. I hope he is particularly wrong this time because the way he changes his wording constantly wasn't really pleasant -- March has been entirely emotional rollercoaster, especially as a person who is trying to replace the entire family's iPads.
I recall Gurman saying that there's a special version for the iPad, not necessarily a .1 release? Maybe I'm reading too much into it...
Gurman was specifically referring to special version of 17.4 release. If that is the case, I think iPadOS 17.4.1 should already have references to the new iPads, special build of iOS 17.4 is ready already, and those new iPads with iOS 17.4 should be required to update on Day 1...
Edit: one more thought: iPadOS isn't holding up the new iPads from being released. I really think it's just the display panel shipment Ross was referring to.
I wonder if it's not mutually exclusive: if the rumours of two display types are correct, then a "special version" could easily be how the OS handles the different displays in different conditions. If the software is still stuck in development, that could push out the release
So the special version of iPadOS 17.4 is still not ready? The new iPad Pros are truly being held back by their own software. This wait is just painful at this point, especially since I haven't had an iPad in almost seven months
