I think when it happens there will be a short video drop since it’s not just a minor spec bump like the MacBooks were. So ya, if it’s today it’ll be at 10am PST

Baltimore bridge collapse is dominating the headlines, not sure an announcement would get much traction today.

I live less than 2 hours from where this happened, I was basically in shock when my friend sent me the news of it.

I was all pumped to open MacRumors and see new iPads announced, but instead I opened MacRumors and thought to myself “give us the f’king iPads already 😩”
Me too! I got no patient any more after waiting whole year for iPad!! Now I gotta wait longer in April now.

Very likely as there doesn’t seem to be much news to shout about.

Hey everyone! Is it today right?

Lets see what Apple brings us with the new iPads! I’m so excited!

Anyways, even if I like the new form factor and features (such as a new Apple Pencil or the landscape camera that comes 4 years later, as it could have been super useful during the pandemic), even if I really like it and my eyes can tolerate this double layered OLED screen, I’m not getting the M3, and this is why:

Obviously, having a great M2 iPP that I enjoy using, is the biggest reason. But seeing the focus on AI that the industry is putting and knowing that the A18 (and subsequently the M4) is coming with a huge revamp of the Neural Engine, and the next-next gen A19 and M5 are coming with a die shrink to 2nm and the GAA Node, I think at this point is safe to wait at least 2 years to get a new device. I can wait, I’m very happy with my A15 iPhone and my M2 iPad Pro. The only problem is my old Intel Mac (dual core), but I’ll try to wait as much as I can with it as well.

That being said, just for the new design and features of the next gen iPad Pro, I’m really excited to see it! And see if it bends easier lol.

iPad Pro A12X: Launched with Apple Event at 1PM EST
iPad Pro A12Z: Launched with Press Release at 8AM EST
iPad Pro M1: Launched with Apple Event at 1PM EST
iPad Pro M2: Launched with marketing video at 1PM EST

I think iPad Pro M3 will launch at 1PM EST

this makes sense since apple is showing iPadOS 17.4.1 release for today if that is not a typo.. possibly for the new ipads? and those typically happen at 10:00 AM PST which would be 1PM EST

Last time was iPad and iPad Pro -- same day availability, same day preorder.

Ha, I feel like I'm playing a slot machine blind folded with earplugs on regarding release date of the iPad Pro M3! :D

We all are. Some of us look at past patterns in the hope that provides some clues but ultimately Apple keep their cards pretty close to the chest at the moment. Or there just isn’t that much to dig out, rumour wise.
