Yeah, he has said previously that there will be a ‘special version’ of iPadOS 17.4 for the new iPads that won’t be ready until the end of the month. I do wonder what that entails.
Just stable support for the new hardware, I would guess.

Mark Gurman once again said that iPads will arrive once iPadOS 17.4 is ready so he predicts either the end of March or even April. This is strange since 17.4 is already released… unless he means that there would be a specific 17.4 for the new hardware.
His messaging a week or two ago suggested the retail stores are expecting something 'big' next week, but his newsletter today makes it sound as if the new iPads will arrive several weeks later. I don't think he has a clue and is just hedging his bets by saying every possible option, lmao.

The good news is BB has massive discounts. This is good.

Maybe even this week. One can hope :)

Apple has to be releasing/announcing something tomorrow… right? It wouldn’t make sense to do as much as they did last week, do nothing this week and then announce the iPad later this month. The MBA had its week, now it’s the iPad’s turn.

I don’t think the iPad pros will be available until closer to the end of the month but I think all iPads will be announced this week.

Let’s see if today brings something 👀 I expect an announcement today with preorders starting this Friday and release date the following Friday.

Do we know what time the MacBook Airs were announced last Monday?

For those thinking it might be released on Friday 29th, this is Good Friday, which is a public holiday in some countries. Even if stores are open, couriers don’t tend to deliver on public holidays. If it does come out on the 29th, then it could end up being a staggered release with some places a week or two later, much like they already do with the iphone.

Interestingly on the Apple home page they've shunted the MBA tile way down the page, so the iPhone 15 Pro tile is now back at the top.
Reckon this means either - iPhone 15 Pro is getting a colour update
or - they're preparing to slide in a new tile later, hopefully iPad but potentially another product update.
either way, suspect something will be changing in the next few hours.

Love how much people read into these things. Inject that right into my veins. I’m all aboard the 1pm GMT iPad Pro reveal hype train. CHOO CHOO!

This has probably already been said, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to me if the iPad’s unveiling comes after the expiration of the returns period for day one MacBook Airs. These two devices occupy a very significant overlap in each other’s space, and one imagines Apple would prefer to minimise the buyer’s remorse Air returns by timing the iPad Pro accordingly. Especially as the Air has screen technology from another age.
