I used the Redmond Pie IPSWs last night to get the GM and everything has been fine. Might as well do the same if you want iOS 14 right now. If you're on an older macOS version like I'm stuck on that still has iTunes, iTunes just downloads an extra little compatibility module and then you're good to go.

I think some people forget that things just happen sometimes. Could be an issue with the servers, or just an issue getting it out at 10:00PST/1:00EST. We will find out soon enough!
Also, the Series 6 AW/watchOS 7 needs iOS 14 to work, so it is definitely not delayed until October like some people are already saying!

Calm down, folks. It's being seeded right now through their content delivery network. It takes some time.
Maybe the delay's due to Apple trying to review and approve as many apps as possible before iOS 14 officially drops. Devs were only given a day's notice in advance after all, so a lot of their iOS 14-optimized apps are currently still in review.
It takes time for the update to propagate/seed through their CDN (Content Delivery Network) especially with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, downloading already that are in earlier Time Zones than the United States.

That’s getting dangerously close to the PS5 Showcase event at 1pm PT, where Sony should finally give details of prices and release date. Hopefully they aren’t being routed through the same servers otherwise iOS download will be really slow.
On Twitter, it looks like some customers in Asia are receiving iOS 14 in the last 10-15 minutes.
I’m pretty sure that was a timed post considering it was posted at 10:00 AM PT. What’s odd is that they haven’t pulled it down over an hour later.
I'm guessing Apple is rolling out the update in a limited fashion. For any release, it would be prudent for them to pre-populate their CDNs. However, I have a friend in CDT (New Orleans) that has access to the download. I'm in EDT, and it's still not available here in New England.
