The last time would have been when I bought my 27 iMac a few years ago. I had mostly used laptops to that point, and configuring my own imac (even at the expense) felt invigorating. I still feel a pang of appreciation every time I sit down to use it. I’m really surprised that Apple has discontinued the 27 inch model, even temporarily; those three inches of screenspace make a difference.

And the time before that was in 2018 during the iPP launch. I went back and forth over which size model to get for months, eventually trying out both. Since I use mine for Internet consumption and reading, I went with the 11 inch. And since there haven’t been any major updates to the 11 iPP since then, I’m typing it on it right now.

Yesterday, when I heard a 16in iPad pro is in the making, that would be my dream. I know it would cost several thousands dollars, but I would buy it immediately....

I get excited for every new iPhone I order, but that feeling rarely lasts these days.
When I was a bit younger, and the 5 came out - I was properly excited like a kid at christmas. Still one of my favourite ever purchases to this day.

ATM I'm really looking forward to the Freeform app. I would like to use it for sketchnoting.

Probably the M1 Max mbp. Not much else really exciting about apple tho and Mac is kind of fleeting without more third party support.

Apple is probably peaking and a lack of vision with focus on making you the product doesn’t bode well long term.

For me it was the iPad 3 as there was nothing else with that resolution. Since then there is ONLY so much you can do with a Phone and a Tablet.

iPhone 12 mini was the last time I was really, really excited. Before that, I was really excited about my 2018 iPP. But I was pretty happy when I got each of my AWs (series 0, 3, 5, and 7) and my 2020 MBP (which was a necessity more than anything else, but I'm still thrilled with it).
